Are you now or have you been banned on any servers? Which ones? Yes in september 2012 I accidently blew up a bomb to soon and got a scientist ban for it. Was resolved etc.

This happened yesterday near the end of a round. I will give the events from my perspective. I will first give some context.
Most of the aliens had been wiped out already and I as a marine had been freed. When I was freed I put myself on a medevac stretcher and bursted while I was on it.

I bursted in hydro and had no idea where the queen was. While I was following my tracker I arrived at the east jungle. In the east jungle my tracker send me south towards the dropship. (the queen was in the east jungles) At the dropship the turret was indeed active and I did linger for a second or 5 to try and think about what was going on. The po heard the shots from the autoturret and came out and I did my best to flee. I went north until the river where I tried to hide in the jungle. But I did get shot eventualy by the pilot officer.

Now I do not see this as suicide. Yes I did die to my own stupidity/noobinesh but I am of opinion that I was not looking to get myself killed.
I get that I may have been pushing it and will be more carefull as a larva in the future. To prevent future issues.

generally larva shouldn't go to any actively dangerous zones, which is usually, if not always includes LZ-1 as they are usually FOB, and I'd regard it as a suicidal action.

However I think you do understand what happened, and I'd support this being appealed.

Why did you try to run right past the dropship over just going around it? Did you ever talk to a staff regarding what was happening or did you log off before anyone could talk to you??

I am not sure if this was the last round of that day for me or the one at 20:00 my time. I am quite sure I stuck around for at least another 5 min on both of those rounds. (The first round I mentioned I asked people in deadchat if they wanted to play stellaris. And I did see at least one person comment on my death. The second one I waited until the round was over. Because my original intention was to play another round but I changed my mind when I saw what role I had and went to bed. I did cyro.)

I have not been messaged by staff ( Or I missed it because I had my sound off.) And I even wonder of the person who banned me saw what happened.

So if you take a look at this picture.
1. the red cross is where the turret was.
2. the grey line shows where you can see the turret from. And also where from it will shoot at you.

Now I did underestimate the distance between the fence and the turret. I knew I was running along the edge of the jungle and thought I had a bit more space.
The turret was hitting the bush/lamp and I was south of the bush when I was being shot at so I know I must have taken either the dark or light blue route.
The light blue route south is the only route I could have taken to not have been shot at by the machine gun at all. I was honestly not aware that I only had so little space.
So yes the option was there to avoid the dropship but I already stated it was not my intention to go to the dropship and be shot at. I just navigated the jungle suboptimal.


EDIT:I now see that when it is deployed the line might be one more step to the right. This would make it impossible to pass without being shot at by the turret.
I am not sure what square it fires at you but there is either no room or 1 square to get past.

Alright on this ban from what I could ask of the players involved it seemed as though it was a logout death of a larva. When I had attempted to contact you it said you were offline which I did find rather odd.
If you were still online and I didn’t manage to speak to you about the matter I wholeheartedly apologize on my failure to speak to you when the incident did go down. I did not mean to wordlessly give a xeno ban when you were still online and able to be spoken to. Though oddly it showed you as offline myself when I was investigating.

I am fine with the jobban being lifted as I feel it was a mistake on my part.

Well, I cannot accurately say how long I was online. I know it was between 5 and at most 20 minutes.
I do regret that no conversation happened from my part aswell. And I know that if possible you would avoid giving a jobban without talking to someone.

Just for the record. I am also fine with the jobban being lifted.

So you were in the eastern part then. I was assuming you were to the north of it or something. Either way, we've talked to the staff who placed the ban and cleared up everything that's happened so the ban will be lifted. Resolved - Xenomorph (full) job-ban lifted.
