Your appeal, including evidence (screenshots, etc): I actually a-helped long beforehand and was told by one of your staff that if i was to go AFK/SSD but was planning to return, then hide in a locker to prevent being ghosted/deleted, so i was doing it alot lately.I have recently been informed just yesterday after i noticed that smartgunner was banned and a-helped it, that infact you should go to the cyro.I didn't know that and was misinformed.

I wouldn't really call three days ago "too long ago", to be frank. You also left the actuall appeal bit blank. Very low effort. I'm normally fine with first SSD bans being lifted, but your notes are far from amazing, the appeal is not good at all and you went SSD in a locker.

Why did you go SSD inside the locker anyway?

I'm opposed to getting this lifted, the round in question I was CMP and in discord with Free and a few other members of staff when someone mentioned the smart gunner being SSD.

Okay. No problem, sometimes people have to go suddenly/have connection difficulties. Then I find out you've gone and hid in a locker and all my sympathy evaporated.

There are 4 Smartunner slots and you locked one off for a considerable portion of the game until I got the CE to hack open the prep door and strip/drag you to cryo.

If you were in the open and had disconnected or had to leave urgently I'd be a little more leniently minded. As it stands I recommend we don't lift this at this time, you didn't even explain why you hid in a locker and DCed

Unfortunately right now you are closer to getting a permanent ban than appealing your smartgunner ban.

If you get no notes in 2 months I think you will be able to appeal this.

Yeah, when i say i a-helped it previously, i mean i actually asked through a a-help many days before that smartgunner job-ban about how to avoid your character being ghosted/deleted from the round if your going AFK for 10-20 minutes and the staffer told me to just hide in a locker and my character should stay in the round.I cant remember the name obviously, otherwise i would state it, but im fairly certain it was a mentor or moderator that told me this.From what i remember about the particular round that got me smartgunner job banned, i had actually just got back from SSD/AFK when my character had been ghosted just minutes before, then i proceeded to join as Xeno i think.See i was under the impression that if you go to cyro, your character will be removed from the round, hence why i was asking how i could set up my character at roundstart, go AFK if i need to and be able to try and ensure my character was still there when i got back, ready to play.I was told the locker was the answer to that question.

I can see where you may need to AFK for a while. But you need to Ahelp every time. Don't just hide in a locker for an indeterminate duration. Roles like Smartgunner and Spec are sparse. 4 spaces in total and are highly sought after for many.

Imagine you rolled for Smartgunner and didn't get it, only to find out someone who got the role has been AFK for an hour and locked the role and it's equipment from the marine side.

I do not recommend blocking roles and hiding in lockers. If you need to AFK let someone know via Ahelp or just cryo yourself if you don't know how long you are going to be. It frees the slot up and stops this situation of job banning happens

Understood, I a-help about about alot of things usually, i kind of figured messaging you dudes about just going AFK everytime would be too much, but if its fine to do so then i will do it everytime!

Also i agree and i would be lying if i said i wouldn't be abit annoyed to find out a SG slot guy is AFK near roundstart, its pretty sucky of me.I dont intent to lockout any slots in the future and hopefully over time i can slowly get all of my job-bans lifted and play how its intended to be played.

I have been utilizing the cyro and extended operations bunk beds as of late after this latest job-ban.

Alright. We'll lift this but if you have to go for an extended amount of time, go to Cryo or ahelp about it and talk it out with a staff member. Try not to pull any more SSD bans as I'm expecting you to understand how to work it out in the future. Resolved - Smargunner job-ban lifted.
