I once got banned for ten minutes or so(don't quite remember, it was my first game and a while ago) for killing myself when the round ended.

Hi, uh, not really sure what's up, but I tried to go on the server this afternoon and got the message above. I've played on the server only a few times (only recently got really into it) and never really did anything to make trouble(except for the first-game mistake with end of round). After doing some research, I *think* i know how i got banned: I was using a VPN(really sorry, but my internet was blocking connections from byond and it was the only way I could think of getting past it). I thought this might be the reason, not sure, but I never did any of that other stuff(what's multi-key? I might have done it by accident, don't know what it is). To, ah, conclude, I really, really like this server, and it was a nasty shock to get banned from it just as I was getting into it. Really sorry for using the VPN, it was out of habit at this point anyway since we have a different provider that allows byond connections, I'll make sure not to do it again. I'd really like to be able to play again, if it's alright.

I won't use the VPN again, I was only using it because my internet's firewall was blocking BYOND connections, we have a new internet and I was pretty much using it because it was on and i was too lazy to open the settings panel and toggle "turn on automatically" off

Alright bud, this is going to take a while to get processed. I wouldn't expect to see this lifted anytime this month. Our ban system is quite well designed to tackle griefers using VPNs.

Keep checking back here for updates, permas take a while to investigate. Otherwise just sit tight. Afraid I can't say much more than be patient.

Unfortunately, permabans due to VPN issues take a long time to resolve because of the process of investigating, the low number of people who can do it, and how busy those people are. Also, they're generally considered less crucial than the non-permanent ban appeals. What's worse, we recently had a change where the guy who used to be in charge of processing these left the server, so it might take longer than it normally would.

It's as simple as having used a VPN- I forgot to turn it off one too many times. If it helps, the VPN was Windscribe-it seems that someone else was using the VPN to do something a little less then innocent.
