I was banned because I was quite literally drinking on the job.

I enjoy RPing as an old man across numerous rolls and regularly carry a bottle of something alcoholic in my bag. It was a slow shift so I sipped the good stuff in the brig while conversing with other MPs.

This happened to be a violation of the Drinking on Duty charge and Apop was online at the time to note it. I was unaware this was a no-tolerance ordeal. While I've RPed this several times, no staff member had disciplined me until then. We spoke briefly, Apop informing me of the consequences and allowing me to continue the round with a demotion and permanent job ban.

I would like to rejoin the ascetic Military Police.

Well, I learned that drinking as an MP isn't allowed under any circumstance, so I won't do that anymore. I otherwise upheld marine law and don't plan on diverging from its tenets.

As long as you understand you should be following marine law as an MP this can be lifted, causes trouble and puts more strain on enforcing marine law when its the MP's being brigged.

More than a year has passed, I’d be fine with this being lifted provided you read up on marine law.

So long as you know not to break marinelaw as an MP then you should be just fine.

I will tell you this. Marine law has been updated and will change frequently the coming days. I recommend you watch the page if this gets lifted. (See rahl his instructions to add it to your watchlist.)
I am in favor of lifting this as I think you will make a fine mp.

MP will be lifted, but CMP will remain banned. Show you'll be able to follow the rules and you can appeal for CMP in at least 30 days.
