Your appeal, including evidence (screenshots, etc): I have nothing to offer but shitty excuses to start off with. First and foremost I wrote this entire appeal out once already over the course of an hour, attempted to preview it, got logged out because I took so long to write it, and upon logging in the appeal was blank. Second, a fourth friend who was previously banned over 6 months ago had given us all copies of VPN Unlimited. I use it on my laptop while I'm out and about and I'm almost certain it was flinging **my** IP over to Colorado or some shit. The accounts are AznBanx and KommissarBanx only, the others are not mine. So the trouble was all caused last Sunday. Typically I spend my free nights with a couple friends at one of their houses. We all bring our laptops and set up around the room, and that night we'd had our friend "Jack" (fake name, real living human) over after work. He wanted to try playing SS13 because he'd seen us playing every now and again. We wanted to hop into the game fast, so rather than wait for him to create a BYOND account and a character, I just let him use my spare account "AznBanx" thinking that if he slammed somebody with a shotgun then I could just throw that account away. This was my first mistake. So they join up and gear up while I'm playing Subnautica, and I'm just giving Jack tips and occasionally physically looking over his shoulder to see what he was doing and guide him. Putting gear on and such, making sure he doesn't have harm intent, etc. This is when it starts to go downhill. I join and gear up on my character and go on patrol. My friend who plays the character "Mason Snyder" and I shit you not you can check the notes on this just sprays down two MP's with Type-II flamer fluid. I rush Gavin Omar to the operating theater and someone else grabs the other MP. He logs off at this point, and Jack is currently on the planet. I hop into cryo and log off, taking up residence on the couch cushions behind Jack. He returns to the Alamo for some rations, and waits in the hangar. I start putting my laptop charger away and I hear marine screams and shooting. I wonder what the fuck is going on before I see the stupid grin on his face. Snyder had him harm intent THE MP I SAVED IN THE EYES WITH A BAYONETED RIFLE. He gets hauled off to security, and I expect him to just get tossed in perma. When I heard the BWOINK!, I immediately unplugged his charger and took the laptop + book off his lap, going back to my spot. I start admitting to everything to the MP (I didn't want them to think he just griefed and logged) and the mod. When I asked him why he attacked the MP, he said that he "started the shit he started with Snyder" which is an abysmally stupid excuse. He agreed to let Jack serve the rest of his perma sentence as punishment and to have better "escalation of force". The MP got revived a *second* time, so I didn't have the guilt that he just totally fucked some shipside dude over for a whole round. We got another BWOINK from a trial mod and I sent him a message saying another mod had already talked to him. So here's where it gets really shady. To an outsider looking in, that's 4+ keys coming from the same network and two of them just started griefing. At this point I think it's over so I tell him to just leave his laptop open next to him and take that L for being a fucking psycho. I go downstairs to grab some waters and talk to my friend's dad for a few minutes. When I head back upstairs, he's been BWOINK'd a third time and has now tried to defend himself in court. The moderator starts asking about multiple accounts and he just plays dumb, not helping his case. He's also not tech savvy in the slightest so there's a possibility he actually had no idea what he was talking about. So they warp him into a monkey and hit us with a 7 day ban. At this point I'm more than happy to have them away from the server for a week, and I got focused on overnight shifts at work so I didn't really think too much about Space Marines. Sunday night we got together but we played Sea of Thieves with the fourth friend. Tonight I attempted to log on and was met with the above message. I attempted to log onto KommissarBanx and discovered the same, and to check if it was sticky I created a new account named BigIron734 and again was met with the ban. I realize this is one hell of a fairy tale, but I'm being completely honest. I love this server. I keep the changelog saved as one of my chrome pages on my phone to check every time I play. I've been playing for almost two years and I don't want to lose the opportunity now.

tl;dr Requested: Had some friends join all together, they not only broke the rules but one used one of MY ckey’s and got the whole network flagged as Shitter Centcomm.

I wanted to provide background other than just saying “hurr I dindu nuffin”. I’d rather leave in unnecessary information than leave anything important out.

You should sit on this ban for a while. During one round we came across multiple multi-keying accounts.

You caused us multiple issues during that round with multiple accounts griefing.

To be honest I think you should sit on this ban, even if it was others griefing.

Also, most of the people I messaged denied it happening.

I’ll sit on this and try again in a month, but I’m doubling down and saying that only AznBanx, KommisarBanx, and BigIron734 are mine.

You know, I’m trying to explain to you that yes you may have found seven, but only 3 belong to me. Which is WHY I would put my name in it. If I had seven banned accounts, why would I even bother going through an appeal process? I’m not trying to evade the ban, mate. Just let it sit and I will too.

I've been lurking and preparing a second appeal. I definitely still want to be here. The keys used that night were KommissarBanx and AznBanx. I'm not sure if BigIron734 was tagged when I attempted to join at home, but it wasn't created until after the ban.

You need to sit on this ban for longer before even be considered for an unban with the amount of trouble you caused on top of the ban being so recent compared to most perma appeals.

Right, I've looked into this and was this a one-night event? You say KommissarBanx is your main account and AznBanx is your alternate one, and if that's the case, why does AznBanx have a lot more use on our server than the first ckey? Where does the ckey Marck_mcDiCkBalls come in because you're directly linked to that account via IP? More seems in play than just the events of that one night.

On most of my accounts that can have the name changed (Uplay, Steam, etc) I’ve been changing from KommissarBanx to Azn for a couple reasons. The first is that nobody calls me Banx. Everyone goes for the first word Kommissar, and I’m not a wheraboo so that doesn’t tickle my fancy as much as it did when the name was a friend joke in Day of Defeat Source. The second is that it’s shorter while remaining unique enough to give me the name. I have BYOND on autolog so I didn’t realize I was listing the accounts backwards, I’m sorry. My old old account was just Bannx with two n’s and I would frequently have issues on Baystation logging in with that instead of Kommissar when that account was new. I just join and usually keep my mouth shut around end of round.

Yeah, that’s Mason Snyder’s account. I am not pointing the finger of blame elsewhere, that’s his character. We’re linked via IP because I play on my Acer laptop at his house. I can log on here at home and prove I’m on a different network from the same state in the future. He’s the marine that killed the two MP’s with the spec flamer in the hangar. We used to play regularly before the incident since I got to RP and he got to blast Xenos, and we even won a round when he killed the queen on the Almayer with a grenade launcher while she was running around in the hallways.

I really want to stress that not even I saw that shittery coming sitting next to him. I’m sorry for the trouble we caused everyone, especially the MP’s who got torched. I dragged them to medical as my MP trying to get them back in the game as fast as possible. I didn’t stuff the bodies in a locker and let their timer tick. It’s been almost 3 months since I’ve played on the server and all I could do is watch the changelog. Now the wiki’s dead so I can’t even do that. I don’t care if I’m on shitter-watch parole for a year, I just want the opportunity to rejoin the community. There’s all this drama going on and I don’t care, I just want to play my 2d spessmen after work and go to bed.

We'll make an exception for AznBanx, but only this ckey. All your other friends will remain banned and if they want to get unbanned, they will need to make their own appeals. All other accounts you have will also remain banned on our server.
