Total Ban Duration: 3 hours
Remaining Duration: Slightly less than 3 hrs.
What other servers do you play on? None
Are you now or have you been banned on any servers? Which ones? -
Reason for ban (If you have a Permaban, it should be the EXACT MESSAGE YOU GET WHEN YOU LOGIN with the Error code that looks like this: X##XXX##. If you do not provide this EXACTLY you can't be unbanned): EORG
Link to previous appeals for the same ban (if applicable): None
Your appeal, including evidence (screenshots, etc):
Command ordered the Zoo to be destroyed over announcements. PO requested CAS, and I followed orders. What I failed to do was to see the state of the Zoo, since I was south of it behind walls. Marines also called for the CAS.
The staff in question did not consider the circumstances even after explaining my case before slapping the EORG ban. I understand that no investigation is usually being carried out, but there was sufficient reason for my IC actions, and it wasn't done for intention of grief.

At the bare minimum, i'm requesting this note to be lifted, because I even explained to staff regarding the laze. Even if the note is not lifted, I would like this post to be a permanent record that this ban is unjustified. That is all.

Re: Unjustified EORG Ban
You decided to CAS/Laze the event area which had several marines inside the entire round. As I knew you were the only one around with the CAS binocs and after questioning you, you admitted to lazing the area without even thinking. Something that should not be done if you are trying to not friendly fire your own team.
EORG is for End Of Round Grief, while one admin rule 0'd the entire aspect of marines fighting there, the CAS was too much and they even agreed it shouldn't have been done.

I'm not crazy, you're crazy.

Re: Unjustified EORG Ban
I understand what EORG is. But I was under the impression from command that the Zoo included hostiles. Marines were attacked by the Hellhounds before and they even lost limbs. Reasonably, they can be viewed as a threat, and that was my IC threat assessment combined with the XO's orders. Check my screenshots. I had no vision because I was running up from the south. If I had known there were marines running into close combat, I wouldn't have lazed it. The intention was to eliminate the hostiles, but the round ended then when CAS was ready. Anyway I already made my point. If you believe it to be justified, I'm in no position to make my case further. I just want it to be known that there were IC reasons behind my actions, and not intended to grief.

Re: Unjustified EORG Ban
The ban being less than 24 hours aside, dropping CAS is a bit excessive. Generally engaging in hostile actions after the round is a gamble. The note is not a big deal and we don't remove them unless it's for extraordinary circumstances.
Resolved. Ban expired, no action taken.

I used to play Luke Compton. Now I play Reginald Dempsey.
