If you do not provide this EXACTLY you can't be unbanned): Like I said, Aceluke123 told me out of nowhere that he personally decided that my name was a little too memey, which I suppose is a fair assessment. At the same time, I really like this name. I think it's rather cool, and I want to stick with it. Other players have responded to it positively IC, so it doesn't necessarily seem to be harming anyone. At the end of the day, all it is is a rather eccentric name. Colonial Marines prides itself on realism every now and then, and I'm certain people in reality have held even stranger names.

I'm not really sure what else to say. It's just a fun name and it's not harming anyone. There are players with names like 'Blast Hardcheese' who have held their name for a long time and thus, have become well-known with it. I tend to frequently contact staff, usually to ask for assistance regarding a certain matter. They all had the opportunity to call me out on it, but they neglected to do so. In short, I don't mean to lawyer around the rules or deride other members of the staff. I just want to keep my admittedly unusual name, because it's fun. And getting in the way of entirely harmless fun over a personal preference is more than a little unfair.

Just on a side note. It is less trouble if you get a name approved beforehand. And imo if you put the hot as the nickname it would have been fine. But that is just my 2 cents.

Unless their name was an outright meme and they knew it, how many players actually pester the staff team in order to find out whether or not their chosen name was appropriate?

In general the name is obviously a memename from my view so I’m enforcing the rule as it states that you should have a “reasonable” name and asking you to change it.
Cold Hotman just sounds like a meme name and as such I asked you to change it.
I’ll check logs later to see if you’ve decided to just ignore my warning later.

Er, who is this directed to? Aceluke? I don't have a problem with my name at all. I made this to keep it. It's an appeal.

It is a waste of time, but I was told to come here to have even a chance at keeping it. So I did.

It's just an eccentric name, not necessarily a meme one. But if you were to be given the benefit of the doubt, 90% of the names on CM are meme names, given that they are modeled off of cheesy action heroes from the 80's.

This is about Cold Hotman, and not any other name. This name is quite clearly memey. Not only that, but I checked the logs and you used it again despite being told not to. That is enough for me to deny this appeal.
