Your appeal, including evidence (screenshots, etc): My appeal to this ban is that before I did this I ahelped. I asked if it was okay to "Place a box labeled 'PROPERTY OF VARG LIDEN DO NOT STEAL' and arrest marines for stealing from this box". The moderator said that it was okay to do so I did it. I only did my actions because of the response from the staff saying that it is okay. So, I was entrapped by the staff into doing something against the server rules. I never would have done this if the mod said that it was not okay to do. So in summary, I was entrapped by the staff into breaking the server rules. Thing did kinda get messed up afterwards with the riot and deaths but that is besides the point and not mentioned in the ban note.

Also, i'm really sorry for the disruption of the round and the griefing that happened as a result of all of this. I made some mistakes in the apprehension of the suspect but the response of the marines was completely uncalled for.

However, before I go diving into the logs, did you at any specific time questioning the staff member about marking the box that you intended to go into a dropship full of marines and put the box down? Or was this simply an attempt at trying to drop a match on a bonfire?

Because, on the face of things, it seems as though you knew full well what you were going to do.

I asked if I could arrest marines for stealing a donut boxed marked "PROPERTY OF VARG LIDEN DO NOT STEAL", I think the mod who replied was Awan. I didn't go into the drop-ship with the intent of starting a fire. I tried it in the halls and the briefing room and no one took in then went into the DS with it thinking that no one was going to steal it with me being visible. I wasn't expecting all of the marines on the DS to get up and start lynching everyone. I was just trying to arrest the dude and get off the DS as quickly as possible. I should have excepted the marines to go ape shit and murder everyone, but I was pretty bald as MP as this was my first time playing as MP on this sever I think. I'm really sorry for all of the shit that happened afterwards. I don't think it justified for all of the marines to act like that over an arrest, but hindsight is 20/20 you know. The marines kidnapping me and killing the commander (I think) shouldn't have happened over that.

Just because you can label a box and bait people to steal donuts doesn’t mean you should do it. It’s not entrapment but that’s pretty “dickish” behavior in my opinion. There isn’t a rash of donut thefts in game that would nessitate a sting operation where you should be actively trying to arrest marines for stealing donuts. Plus there are consequences to all actions good and bad, and this lead to some pretty bad consequences.

You reap what you sow, and I think you should serve the full punishment.

Looking over the logs it is clear that you went out of your way to provoke marines into committing a crime to then give them maximum sentence over a really minor thing such as stealing a donut, massively disrupting the round.

Awan misunderstood your intentions as just leaving the donuts in the brig and that may have led to a misunderstanding. However, you were clearly looking to screw other people over and cause a big disruption at the start of the round. It may not be entrapment, but it's certainly being a dick, and we've got a rule against that.

Furthermore, on the span of just two and a half months you have accrued a grand total of twenty three notes over twenty one separate incidents. If you want your bans lifted, you need to improve your behaviour fast because you're on the fast track to a permaban at the moment.
