What occured was I told one cargo technician that she shouldn't be giving out webbings to regulars and called her braindead(I think), then she decided to not hand me over attachments and the regular marine got pissed, pushed me around before grabbing me and throwing towards a window several times. I insulted him again, because he couldn't stop his flaming, sitting in briefing, he got mad(yet again) and charged at me with a shotgun+disarm, I sniped him once, leading to decap, the medical quickly took him to cloning and I went to brig without resisting. All I managed to chat with the mod is about "well you also insulted the cargo tech", which is also apparently being a "dick", whereas' I don't see it anywhere in the logs, besides me being called out?.. Then an instant slap on the wrist and there you go.

Looking through the logs, I think it's pretty clear you violently overreacted. If someone disarms you once, you should not blow their head off their body with a bloody sniper rifle. You escalated the situation way, way further than you had to.

If he was really going to shoot you, he would have been carrying his shotgun with both hands and would have been unable to disarm you.

Seems like you need to learn the cold hard truth about attachments. They're optional and the RO has the right to deny you service.


I think this ban is completely valid. You need to avoid shooting your teammates and cut out the toxicity.

That's exactly what you did wrong. You don't preemptively open fire on someone. To clarify, you and you alone decided to make the jump from non-lethal to lethal. That makes you the instigator.
Shooting your teammates should be literally your last option. Even so, it is a better option to let the player kill you and ahelp the situation.

If Leo had opened fire first and killed you, he would have been the one got banned. Had you ahelped it, which I assume you would, we would have revived you.
Likewise, if he opened fire on you first and you returned fire, this would be a solid case of self defense.

But, of course, you chose to react to his push with lethal force. And that's why you're banned.

Neither of you said very nice things. But I am not here to argue about what Leo said, because that isn't relevant. Leo is not the one who turned to lethal force, and he's not the one trying to convince the staff that he's innocent of any wrongdoings. This is entirely about you, not him.

In short, the entire reason you were banned was because you killed a fellow crewmember with lethal force. The fact that it was you, not him, that initiated lethal force makes you guilty, not him. He didn't even return fire.

You're again talking about how big of an unwanted griefer I am, whilst putting aside other issues that occured as to why it lead to shooting him once. Grief as far as I know, doing malicious intent on a player on purpose with zero reasons at all but just for "shits and giggles". Did I run around calling people out and shooting at them because I dislike them? No. All I'm looking is to get at least a warning instead of a silly three day ban on the wrist, because the mod just asked "why'd you do that", I answered and then he moved to "well you did call CT a bitch and thats being a dick", then just banned, that's it.

I was banned for killing someone who literally kept messing around, throwing me at windows, tablegrab attempts, rushing in with a shotgun at last, and most likely asking for it. I don't see it as grief in any way, nor' worth three day ban, because I've had veeeery little issues with staff before. All I'm asking is maybe for a warning and reduce to three hours from now?

Something important to understand Techno is that rules like these are in place in control chaos. No one is saying youre a terrible player, but if we allowed everyone to blow eachothers heads off over pushing and disarms.. the server would be a much more chaotic and lethal server.

Feweh said it perfectly. For future notice, you never want to be the person who fired the first shot.

Returning fire on a player can be fine in certain situations, but it does make our job harder. As silly as it sounds, if would have been best if you let Leo shoot you (had that been his intention) and ahelped it. Since we can revive people, it would have been no issue to revive you had you not fought back.

Three hour ban/warning would've been fine, but a simple "hey you did call that cargo tech a bitch so yeah, you were being a dick" and then instant three day slap?

Maybe so, but there was no reason to whip out the M42C and proceed to decapitate someone in response. Should have Ahelped or filed a player report without fighting back.

It wasnt stalled, numerous staff members told you that you were in the wrong and its sticking.

Not once did anyone say anything about you being unbanned. Youve just continued posting afterwards and assumed something was going to change.

I think several of my posts were questions of "whether I'm going to get a chance of being unbanned or not", yet all of you kept arguing without any initial response "yes or no".

Even the situation being silly, usually I've seen people getting banned for three hours for killing one another, regardless if EORG. Instead, I got a three day ban. I was called a griefer, in what instance did I grief a player or the server alone? I gave answers that this was escalated, not done for a "shit and giggles".

But, seems like the ban just keeps going on and on, without me getting any sort of reply "yeah, you're not getting unbanned" or "yeah, you're getting unbanned". That's stalling.

I looked through the logs myself after I returned from a bit of a vacation and given what my staff have all said I am removing this ban due to the fact of people have done this all the time and people get away with that shit. Apologies on the delay from me
