Background
Irving was born in Austin, TX an only child and enlisted into USCMC a year ago, citing lack of employment opportunites and difficulty with other large-scale employers as factors in his decision. Irving's otherwise good record is overshadowed by two incidents (I-TC/00331-A; I-TC/00376) involving incorrect use of explosives and vehicles which lead to damage of military property. Irving has proven to be popular with other marines in his training unit for his humor (due to his clumsiness as much as his wit) and also helping marines focus on their mission. He was on the way to make NCO towards the end of training, but after his indirect part in the Apollo Bar Incident led by SSGT [REDACTED] (I-TC/00410; "Discotheque Dunces! Marines With Military-Grade Weapons Bungle Stick-up" - Houston Herald) it was not considered appropriate to continue Irving on this route. Irving remains a PFC awaiting his deployment details.

Candidate Analysis
PFC Irving's loyalty, and potential to develop additional skills useful to mobile response teams mark him out to be a potentially useful addition to the Sulaco's crew. However this must be guarded with caution as he has shown to partake in actions that are detrimental to the Corps. It is my recommendation that Irving be placed in an environment where he can be tested to see if his additional skill can be developed in a frontline first-reponse unit. To this end, if he can be placed with skilled, experienced marines that can mentor him and keep his reckless tendencies in check, the Sulaco (Irving included) is sure to reap the rewards.
