TACTICS OVERVIEW: When deployed, LCPL Jefferson functions as a heavily armed Border Collie: keeps PFCs from wandering too far away from the rest of the squad, and keeps squad cohesion by issuing rally orders to form up on the SL during periods in which the Squad Leader is occupied with other tasks. During Assistant Squad Leader (aSL) drills, his tactics involve keeping everyone together, and in the absence of orders, he focuses on defensive deployments or if in hostile territory, pushes to make a flank on the enemy position. He follows orders and keeps the PFCs in line, so he is fit for aSL duty should it occur. He also brings in equipment such as flares, splints and food for the other marines, possibly to curry favor with the medics and infantry.

PSYCHOLOGICAL OVERVIEW: There definitely seems to be something wrong with his method of thinking. After an operation in close quarters fighting, after being covered in blood in hand to hand combat, his first reaction is to scare the Chief Medical Officer by attempting to give him a hug. He considers being covered in blood and gore to be a minor inconvenience and expresses aggravation when other marines fail in their tasks, or cause disruptions in briefing/requisitions. Oddly for a Smartgunner, he's often the first marine in a fight to drag away wounded friendlies if no one else takes the initiative, as well as splints others' broken limbs if there are no available medics.

ADDENDUM AS OF 30/12/1285: Seems to have a hair trigger temper when it comes to being mocked or disrespected. Jefferson nearly started assaulting the Corporate Liaison after a verbal argument leading to the Liaison calling into question the squad's competence. Situation was defused, and the Liaison was later transferred due to an unrelated incident.

Assessor: "So, now that the basics have been gone over, please tell me about the commendations you have received over your career, if you don't mind?"

Jefferson: "Oh yeeeeah, that. I just got out of medbay for....something I forget what, and I see the Chief Engineer haul ass towards Maintenance. When I see an Engi move like Hell with a Tac shotty, I assume he has more information than I do, and I followed him. Sure enough, I turn a corner, and sure enough an infiltrator's trying to kill him. I spray him down and the CE thanked me. Turns out he was the CO's dad (is that like, reverse nepotism? anyway) and that got me a medal. Go figure."

Assessor: "And, what about your most recent commendation?"


Jefferson: "Ohhh, right. THAT ONE. I helped lead a flank and I got rumbled a little bit. The details were a little funky, but apparently I was legally dead for like....4 minutes, and someone told command that I died. Aaaand that's how I got it. What's actually annoying about that is because I was legally declared dead, my taxes and financial are jacked up, and I have to prove that I'm actually not dead every year. You'd think I'd only have to go through it once, but that's bureaucracy for you. What were we talking about again?
