Private Hernandez was recruited into the Colonial Marines after her father's death. She is an immigrant out of Mexico City, into New York after increased rioting and gang violence threatened her family.
Prior to Hernandez's stationing on the USS Almayer, she had been active in two previous deployments, in 2184 and 2185.
She earned her nicknames here, due to her weapon being on safety in combat, or being on fire when surrounded by friendlies.
Based on reports, this private is responsible for 12 different friendly fire incidents, however only one is confirmed.

Although allegedly responsible for a significant amount of friendly fire, Hernandez seems to be good willed.
Generally not very talkative, she seems to be significantly more communicative around her squad and close friends.

According to various tests, Hernandez's usually amicable and comedic personality deteriorates under stress.
Seeing a squadmate go down will usually result in her rushing into danger to try and save them, against better judgement.
Being suddenly confronted with danger has caused her panic.
This was displayed in combat in 2185, when her weapon was on safety while under fire. Screaming that it was jammed, she threw it at the enemy.

Overall, she seems not to be the best fit for combat. However, you can expect a few dying soldiers to make it off the ground that would have been their grave.
