History: Imelda Carew, later Jennifer Rowley, was born on a Mars-bound trading vessel, the STV Alexandra. Though the father was never identified, the mother was confirmed to be a maintenance technician employed aboard the ship itself. The child was given for adoption as soon as the vessel touched down. After roughly two months, the infant was taken in by one William Carew, a Martian philanthropist.
Not much is known about Imelda's childhood, as very little was disclosed and most information comes from the rather frequent law-related records; early drug and alcohol abuse, several thefts and counts of two assaults. It has been hypothesized by at least one psychologist that this violent, self-destructive behavior stemmed from a critical lack of sense of belonging; it is not hard to believe Imelda was initially ostracized by her older sister and actual daughter of William's, Noemi.
It's been reported that Imelda has been, since as early as the age of 10, part of a minor, unnamed Martian tropa, with several recorded violent raids on the sub-level slums. It is also known that Carew started abusing psychoactive substances at around this point of her life, obviously as a method of 'psyching up' before combat. Finally, the consensus is this.. side activity of Carew's caused her mother's death; on the 24th October 2132, the Carew family residence was hailed by gunfire, killing Jenna and severely wounding Noemi.
No further data on Carew's early life is present. Days after her 18th birthday, on the 21/09/2139, she enlisted in the USCMC. Assigned to the 7th training regiment, Carew was shipped to Parris Island, Earth.
The training records are nothing particularly remarkable: Imelda's slightly above average marksmanship has been noted down, along with her aptitude for command and affinity for medicine. Interestingly enough, she scored the second lowest time among her regiment on the 3-miles run - roughly 15 minutes.
Her training complete, Private Carew was assigned to the 25th Marine Regiment, 2nd Battalion, aboard the USS Toledo for Outer System Patrol and Response duty.
Here, Carew was grouped with four other recruits and one officer to form Delta squad. Composition of the squad as follows:
Sgt Emilia Winters (Delta Actual),
Pvt Imelda Carew (Delta-01).
Pvt Archie Werner (Delta-02).
PFC Anthony O'Neil (Delta-03).
Pvt James DaFoe (Delta-04).
2ndLt Frey Marshall (Zulu Niner - OW).
Operational record of Delta squad to follow:
2139 - Delta squad deployed on Jupiter, VIP protection detail. Pvt DaFoe shot in the leg, medicated on-site by Pvt Carew. Operation successful.
2139 - Delta and Bravo squads deployed on Aegis-3 to assist in recovery of escaped specimens, New Horizons Research Station. Upon arrival, the squad was attacked by severely mutated monkeys. PFC O'Neil separated from Delta and eviscerated. Confirmed KIA. Pvt Werner and Pvt Carew lightly injured by claws. Both were promoted to PFC for their actions during the operation. Operation successful.
2139 - Delta squad garrisoned in Fort Greenwell, Mars. Replacement for O'Neil arrives.
Pvt Boris Voronovich (Delta-03).
2141 - Alpha, Bravo, Charlie and Delta squads deployed to weapon manufacturing plant on Mephne-5, researchers have taken up arms and threaten the local area. USS Toledo responds. Alpha and Bravo tasked with isolating area; Charlie and Delta to breach. Contact lost with Charlie following the explosion of an experimental device. Delta subdues remaining insurgents. PFC Carew splashed with corrosive substance; eye damaged, functionality retained. Sgt Winters gravely wounded, lung pierced by 10mm caseless; survives.
2142 - Squad performance review. Pvt Voronovich promoted to PFC. Sgt Winters promoted to GySgt. Pvt DaFoe promoted to PFC. PFC Werner and PFC Carew promoted to Cpl. New squad composition as follows:
GySgt Emilia Winters (Delta Actual).
Cpl Imelda Carew (Delta-01).
Cpl Archie Werner (Delta-02).
PFC James DaFoe (Delta-03).
PFC Boris Voronovich (Delta-04).
1stLt Frey Marshall (Zulu-Niner - OW).
2142 - Dropship engine failure during deployment. Following crash into mountain range, Delta squad is left stranded on HT-913 for four (4) days. PFC Voronovich KIA during initial landing. Cpl Werner left comatose from concussions. Delta survivors found in a cave (lat 48.80679, long 21.54422), approaching hypothermia. Welcomed aboard the USS Nineveh. Cpl Werner miraculously survives to receive the Purple Heart. After eleven (11) days of medical leave, Cpl Werner is declared fit for service. GySgt Winters, Cpl Carew and PFC DaFoe received the Marine Corps Commendation Medal. 1stLt Marshall receives the Distinguished Service Medal after partaking in the rescue operation herself. Furthermore, Cpl Carew takes part several therapy sessions, one of which has been declassified. See below.
[PLEASE STAND BY]
2142 - The USS Nineveh is called to assist in riot control on Movi, planet New Persia, barely one month after the recovery of Delta. Due to a cryogenics malfunction, the Nineveh's squads cannot be reawakened in a timely manner; Delta squad is scrambled. The squad is dropped in the heart of the city, where a number of local law enforcement officers are under siege by revolting citizens. Usage of heavy weaponry is granted; two refitted combat Power Loaders are dropped along with the squad. After several attempts at peaceful talk are shot down, the Nineveh's OPCON grants permission to use lethal weaponry. Rioter casualties are estimated to hover around the hundred; no marine or law enforcement losses. Due to exemplary conduct during the operation, GySgt Winters is promoted to 1stSgt. Cpl Carew is promoted to SSgt. Cpl Werner is promoted to Sgt. PFC DaFoe is promoted to Cpl.
2142 - Delta is ordered to rejoin the USS Toledo. Due to severe under staffing, SSgt Carew is asked to remain behind and take command of the Nineveh's Bravo team. Carew accepts. Bravo squad composition to follow:
SSgt Imelda Carew (Bravo Actual).
LCpl Stav Shiloh (Bravo-01).
PFC Domenico Voll (Bravo-02).
PFC Cassian Lund (Bravo-03).
Pvt Kenny Van Achteren (Bravo-04).
CWO5 Viktoras Seward (Zulu-Niner - OW).
2143 - Bravo squad's first combat outing. Deployed on the Yeng GmbH orbital collector platform on Uranus, currently under control by anti-corporate extremists. Exemplary performance as all terrorists are subdued; no casualties reported.
2143 - USS Nineveh docks with OAUDF-04, upper Earth orbit, for repairs and maintenance. SSgt Carew and squad are transferred to Parris Island, to assist in the training of new units. As the USS Nineveh is declared unfit for prolonged combat, it is dismantled. Work begins on a replacement vessel, the USS Phobetor. Construction will last four (4) years, during which SSgt Carew will be promoted to 2ndLt.
2147 - With the completion of the USS Phobetor, Bravo is reorganized and assigned to Outer System Patrol Duty. Immediately, the Phobetor is called to respond to the loss of signal from a research facility on AV-329. Upon touchdown, the squad is greeted by scientists fleeing from a gelatinous, spreading bio weapon. Though efforts are made to contain it, a retreat is eventually ordered when radio contact with the Phobetor is lost and 2ndLt Carew is badly injured. The team is RTB after 60 minutes of deployment. 2ndLt Carew's arm is left useless after a close encounter with the bio weapon, and is replaced with a mechanical counterpart. For his acts of heroism during the operation, PFC Lund is promoted to LCpl and receives the Distinguished Service Medal.
2147 - The USS Phobetor joins the USS Tucson and the USS Toledo in orbit around Nyeve-2, a glacial colony reporting sightings of several unknown lifeforms emerging from the terrain. A total of twelve (12) squads are deployed, with the Phobetor's experimental drop craft spearheading the operation. Bravo squad is dropped near a mining facility. Radio log of the operation to follow. It should be noted that a video log is available. See LCpl Shiloh's personnel record.
[O3 clearance required]
Operation is a success. Mining operations are stopped. As the subsonic mining equipment is no longer used, natives are pacified. Both 2ndLt Carew and LCpl Shiloh are extracted in grave condition. Though praised from OPCON and HQ alike, 2ndLt Carew files a request for her own demotion, citing her failure in appropriately scouting the building. 2ndLt Carew is demoted to Sgt. Furthermore, she requests transfer to the 77th group, a punitive subset of the MSOR - the Marine Raider Regiment. This request is accepted. Finally, Sgt Carew asks for two (2) months of leave. Due to exceptional circumstances, this request is accepted. LCpl Shiloh continues to serve aboard the USS Phobetor.
2147 (Leave) - During her extended leave, Carew does a number of notable things: first and foremost, she files a request to legally change her name to Jennifer Rowley, which is accepted and put in effect almost immediately (From here on, this record will refer to Sgt Carew as Sgt Rowley). Secondly, Rowley schedules and partakes in several hypnotherapy sessions; the exact specifics are not disclosed due to medic-patient confidentiality.
2148 - Sgt Rowley effectively begins duty aboard the USS Yuma, not attached to a particular squad but rather placed in a quick response unit pool.
2148 - The USS Yuma is activated to respond to a distress beacon from the nearby MTV Amelia. Sgt Rowley is selected, along with a handful of units. Upon arrival, it becomes clear that the MTV Amelia has been commandeered by numerous but under-equipped pirates. The operation goes exceedingly well; the MTV Amelia is recaptured with minimal collateral damage and no civilian victims.
2149 - NOVEMBER UNIFORM NOVEMBER 0377 incident. As per O-3 orders, no details will be revealed outside of the incident's dossier.
[ACCESS DENIED] [Reviewing Officer's note: Let's just not talk about it.]
2150 - Following the above, Sgt Rowley returns to active service. After a formal request from [ACCESS DENIED], Sgt Rowley is temporarily transferred from the USS Yuma to the USS Sulaco, for Outer System Patrol Duty.
2150 - Sgt Rowley requests and obtains several days of leave, during which she reportedly marries Natalie Mercedes Takashiko-Reyes, also a USS Sulaco-bound marine (See Natalie Mercedes Takashiko-Reyes' personnel file;).
2150 - Sgt Rowley returns to active service aboard the USS Memphis, pending transfer to the USS Sulaco. Instead of a regular squad, Sgt Rowley is placed in a quick-response emergency rescue team, designation Damocles. Team composition to follow:
2ndLt Erica Bynum (DAM-Actual).
GySgt Arthur Sevchenko (DAM-01).
Sgt Jennifer Rowley (DAM-02).
Cpl Matteo Wells (DAM-02).
LCpl Thomas Smith (DAM-03).
2150 - Damocles is activated in response to a distress beacon sent from the ISTV Galileo. Insertion via controlled breaching is successful, upon which the team discovers the vessel has been taken over by a group of pirates. Retrieval of the vessel is successful, collateral damage is kept at a minimum.
2150 - USS Memphis docks with USCMCRRP-02 around Mars. Coincidentally, the USS Sulaco is standing-by nearby. Sgt Rowley is transferred to the USS Sulaco and resumes standard duty.
2150 - USS Sulaco is dispatched on border world LV-426 to respond to a distress beacon launched by the Weyland Yutani Lazarus Landing excavation site. OPERATION UNDERWAY.

Psychological evaluation:
Likes:
- Civilians [Reviewing Officer's note: 'likes' is a strong word, however Sgt Rowley has been noted to be excessively courteous and understanding when speaking to civilians.]
- Fitness
- Hard liquors
- Protein satchels
- Dogs
- Sweet foods
- Pizza
- Prolonged firefights
- [REDACTED]
- All of the above, combined
- Natalie Mercedes Takashiko-Reyes
- Rowan Ruby Rowley
- Old (1950s - 2000s) music [Reviewing Officer's note: Notably, Enigma.]
Dislikes:
- Overly strict command
- Aviation
- Army
- Law enforcement
- Tofu
- Cats
- Spiders
- Cold climates
- Smoking
- Darkness
Phobias:
- Nyctophobia: Saying Sgt Rowley is afraid of darkness would be a gross oversimplification, though not explicitly wrong; rather, Rowley is afraid of the loss of control that comes with darkness. coupled with an instinctive panicked response, this phobia may prove, in extreme cases, crippling.
- Autophobia: This is pretty straightforward, though not as much as it would seem. Sgt Rowley is not only afraid of being left alone; she reports experiencing feelings of dread upon feeling ignored, unloved or threatened by an unseen 'stranger'. It should be underlined that Sgt Rowley is NOT paranoid, and completely fit for active duty.

Psychologist's comment:
Sgt Rowley is a generally stable soldier, mostly reliable even when under heavy stress. It has been noted, however, that she has the horrible habit of engaging in flirtatious behavior at the worst possible times, though it has been described as «playful teasing», and nothing more. Further evaluation required.
Since her marriage, Sgt Rowley has retained her overall flirtatious behavior, though she has shown more than once a notably strong attachment to her fiance. For this reason, endangering either in presence of the other is NOT recommended, and may lead to unexpected actions.
On a similar note should be regarded Sgt Rowley's relationship with her sister.

Physical evaluation:
293/300.
Sgt Rowley is a physically able individual; initially, her extensive scarring caused some concerns, but she has since proven fit to serve. Further data to follow. Though of no concern, Sgt Rowley seems to suffer from a mutated form of albinism, currently unidentified; despite every attempted treatment, Sgt Rowley's hair seems to lose its pigmentation over the course of a couple weeks at most, method employed notwithstanding. This extends to Sgt Rowley's entire body hair.
Sgt Rowley's left arm is prosthetic (Unbranded, schematics not available) - synthetic muscle encased in a titanium alloy and operating with special-issue servomotors. Due to the prosthetic's excessive weight, Sgt Rowley's clavicle and scapula have been reinforced with carbon fiber plates, while her entire ribcage has been interwoven with steel support rods. Inside Sgt Rowley's brain is a standard cybernetics interface (See appropriate schematics), shielded from EM-based equipment.
It should be noted that, after years of unspecified abuse, Sgt Rowley's vocal chords have been left quite damaged, leading to a significant change of pitch and tone in the Sergeant's voice.
