Notable traits: A man that, while easy to bring to shouting, is calm under pressure and more than able to save lives when the going gets tough. A fast hand with surgery tool and syringe alike. Considers most of the medical staff he ends up working with untrustworthy and prefers to do most things himself (when possible) rather than delegate.

Persona: Has a tendency to scream at people when he believes they're being idiots or when something crazy happens (read as: Sulaco's engines explode/etc), but knows when it is time to get to work. Despite that, he is still polite and tries to make operations within medical and between the various parts of the ship as smooth as possible just to save himself the headache that would come from it otherwise. All in all he just wants people to sit down, shut up, and let him do his job.

History: Deep, compelling, and long as hell.
Not really though. Blackpool's history is a boring one. He began as an Engineer and worked that job for some time, swapping into Rifleman on occasion depending on the mission. Eventually he grew tired of the front lines and got transferred into medical, a decision he has yet to regret. That's the long and short of it.
[I'll probably eventually hash out a real history for him, but for now this nice vague one is perfect.]

Relations: Varies [I apologize if I spell a name wrong or forget someone, I've a terrible memory for these things. Will add names as people are interacted with now that this is made.]
Phoenix Stratford: Considers a competent medical officer and enjoys working with them.
Jordan Roberts: A Marine that currently holds his respect for going into battle with him and being refreshingly polite.
Xiphos Volund: Another highly competent CMO that Blackpool will gladly work under.
Kelly Shrapnel: While new to the Doctor position she listened well and managed not to kill anyone. Jacob would happily continue to help her learn and work with her further.

Basic appearance: A tall, lanky, man with short black hair that is often described as a bit scruffy.

Likes: Surgery, chemistry, building/making things, not getting shot, reliable MPs to keep things orderly, ship cohesion, competent people.

Dislikes: Mutiny, friendly fire, people moving while he tries to help them, people without any reason to be in medical being in medical, pretty much any incompetent staff/medical/mp member, people who forget to turn off the Cyro tubes, running out of chemicals, SSD'd Marines.

Strengths: In depth knowledge of surgery and other medical procedures.
Knows his way around a Chem machine.
Medical is his domain, and he knows it well. If they have it, and it can save you, he knows where it is.

Weaknesses: Tends to get hurt in some fashion or another trying to save others. Be it friendly fire, ACTUAL fire, or what have you, something always seems to get him hurt while he's working. Survival isn't always possible.
Prefers to do most jobs himself, which can bother others.
Starts shouting easily, if only to try to get his point across, which is often unsuccessful.
