USCM FILE N481NC: Kirby, Julian E.
___________________________________________________________________
Subject Background
From what the USCM have on file, Julian Kirby grew up in the densely-populated sprawl of New York City. Julian is the only child of Elaine and Daniel Kirby, the former of whom never completed college and the latter having dropped out of high school. Kirby's father made decent money as a welder and auto mechanic who prided himself on honesty towards his customers, and his mother most often acted as an assistant that helped him with the more difficult repairs. While Julian's mother died fairly early on into his childhood, he has been heard speaking at length to friends about the influence she had on him, and how she encouraged him to apply his father's policy of pride in honesty to everything he did in life.
After his mother died, Julian was raised in part by his father and by his uncle, Jamie Kirby. Jamie often took the burden of watching Julian while his father recovered from his mother's death. Himself a veteran, Jamie taught the younger Kirby to always have a healthy respect for the military, but at the same time cautioned him not to enlist, as he believed the price to be terrible and the reward to be worthless. Nevertheless, Julian continued to struggle in school, much like his parents. After barely managing to earn a high school diploma, he completely and utterly failed to get into college. Upset with his future prospects, Julian decided to go against his uncle's wishes and sign on with the Colonial Marines, hoping to become like one of the two men he respected the most in life.
Julian received an expert badge in basic marksmanship training. Afterwards, he applied to receive special weapons training and ended up in an advanced smartgunners' course. Completing this additional training and finally being cleared to ship out left Kirby with an immensely satisfying feeling of belonging - after all this time, he had discovered something he was able to do something that came to him naturally. He spent approximately 3 years stationed aboard a small patrol craft responding to interplanetary disputes, before being transferred aboard the Almayer for active combat service. Subject Quotes
"Pizza time."
The subject has frequently been observed stating this, often to nobody in particular. Neither the Weyland-Yutani Military Outreach Program or the Psychological Health Department have come up with any explanation for the phrase. It has been noted, however, that a large portion of the subject's diet consists of the USCM's prepared pizza meals.
"Look, let's just say I didn't do it. But, whatever it is, and I'm not saying I know what that is, it's probably my fault."
This statement is the subject's official alibi after an unexplained fire occurred in the starboard operations bunks before Operation [REDACTED]. The fire most regrettably consumed [REDACTED]'s [REDACTED]. The subject was later cleared of suspicion.

Re: USCM Dossier - Jools Kirby
The angry yelling Locke has seen Jools around. She likes Jools. As long as he doesn't run into the hive with only his knife.
Giliad Pelleaon [Sulaco (XO)] asks, "Does anyone know what the Nexus looks like?"
Locke 'Krieg' Tucker [Sulaco (Eng)] says, "THE SITUATION IS LIKE SANDPAPER VERSUS CHEESE."
Locke 'Krieg' Tucker [Sulaco (Eng)] shouts, "AND WE'RE THE FUCKIN' CHEESE!"
Plays as Locke, the charming tanned young woman who is perpetually yelling. I also draw, so uh, I might take requests.

And Jools likes Locke in turn for getting people to pay attention by yelling, which is something he can't quite get the hang of.LackingAHelmet wrote:The angry yelling Locke has seen Jools around. She likes Jools. As long as he doesn't run into the hive with only his knife.
Also: bumped for major edits to the backstory and other minor cleaning changes.

And here we see the majestic medic, Alyssa Cowper. You can see her in the distance, wearing a looted sniper's smock because of the carrying capacity, mumbling and cursing to herself as she organizes what medicines she has on available - while listening to the complaints of a wounded marine she gave tramadol - instead of Tricordrazine or even Bicard - because of the lack of proper medicine.Monoo wrote: And Jools likes Locke in turn for getting people to pay attention by yelling, which is something he can't quite get the hand of.

Bumped. Streamlined the design of the dossier, added more relations, and made changes here and there.
