Squad is held up outside the medical dome. Ahead of them is hydroponics, when suddenly Pvt. Daren is shot. Squad scrambles for cover.
SSgt. Veri: Contact! Sniper down range!
Cpl. Lolani: Where?
SSgt. Veri: The building there - hydroponics, upstairs window somewhere. Couldn't see him.
Cpl. Lolani: I got this, be right back.
SSgt. Veri: Wait Ana! ... Damnit!
The squad takes up firing positions, but can make little head way as heavy fire from the hydroponics building ahead of them keeps them from advancing. Then footsteps.
Cpl. Lolani: EVERYBODY FUCKIN' DUCK!
Massive explosion. The camera feed turns fuzzy as debris rains down on the squad. Cuts to static before returning, squad is covered in dust and debris but looks healthy.
SSgt. Veri: The fuck Ana?
Cpl. Lolani: What? I had C4, might as well use it.
Pvt. Quinn: You blew up hydroponics! It's gone!
SSgt. Veri turns towards hydroponics, the building where the terrorists were is now a pile of rubble, but most of the building is no where to be seen.
Cpl. Lolani: Yeah, so?
SSgt: Veri: ... How much C4 was that?
Cpl. Lolani: 12 pounds.
SSgt. Veri: You had 12 pounds of C4?!
Cpl. Lolani: No. I had 36 pounds of C4.
Squad stares at Lolani.
Cpl. Lolani: What?
Pvt. Quinn: Why do you need 36 pounds of C4?
SSgt: Veri: Where did you even get 36 pounds of C4?
Cpl. Lolani: In case I needed to blow shit up, what do you use C4 for Quinn? And I got it from the armory.
SSgt. Veri: Wait... Did you take all the C4 in the armory?
Cpl. Lolani shrugs.

Welp that's my character. Might add to it as I go, but just wanted to point out that I've had a ton of fun playing the last few days and am totally hooked on Colonial Marines.
Also wanted to introduce myself to everybody. My name is Brendan, OOC Hawkshot86, I am 22 years old, and I have a strong background in video games and pen and paper roleplaying. I've seen all the Alien movies, even the crappy ones. I'm a book nerd, my quote is from Malazan Book of the Fallen (#5, Iron Bars when he fights the Toblakai) and my character's nickname was inspired by the sappers in the series. My brother is Bryce "Fiddler" Overstreet, he taught me to play and got me into the game.
I generally play at night during the week and around noon during the weekend (UTC 7:00, Mtn. Time).
My most notable feat so far was a game I had on August 11th at noon till about 4. I was the Alpha SL and I basically lead the marines on a slow trench warfare assault on the alien hive, which worked beautifully. Got lots of love from command and my fellow soldiers. Command even said I was up for a promotion and some medals (which meant a lot, cause it was my first full game as SL
).
And if ya'll have better nicknames, would totally love a community nickname.
