Introduction
Well, sometimes while walking around medbay (I'm a combat medic player) I see a lot of idiot errors, like, doctors that can't put anesthesic tanks to peform surgeries, or that are literally OD'ing pacients. Well, i'll build this small guide to help the new players into the medbay system. I know that there's already a Medicine guide into SS13 wiki, but i want to write it anyways.
Gearing UP
So, after you wake up, at cryo or medbay, you must get your equipments. First, i like to use sterile clothing, like gloves and masks.. After that, get a HealthHUD (ask to the researcher or get inside the east room of medbay, or the lockers, well, tons of options to find it), a lifesaver bag (you can use the standard equip, since you have a nanomedplus to help you, but it's goot to have each piibottle from the vendors on it, and remove all the gauze and oilment, because advanced trauma kits are better), a health analyzer and a hypospray on pockets, advanced health kit on you backpack, plus a stasis bag and a defibrillator. After that you are pretty much ready for the work.
First patient
Well, the first wounded marine arrives, he got shot by AP into the briefing room. First thing, you must get your health analyzer and scan him (Click on the health analyzer in your pocket and click on the wounded marine). Well, he has only brute damage on his chest (https://wiki.baystation12.net/index.php ... ldid=58782 this guide is good enough to understand what types of damage we have on CM) so you must only bandage him with gauze or an advanced trauma kit, to stop the bleeding. You can give him bicardine pills or inject with a bicardine auto injector, or give tramatol to lower the pain. Well, you didn't kill the first wounded marine, that's good, but we are going to receive another patient soon...
Second patient
Well, this one came from the planetside, and he is severe wounded, somehow the medic just put him into a stasis bag, not treating the wounds. Same thing, scan him and heal the damages, with advanced kits. He is not bleeding anymore, but he has internal bleeding, so you must get a quickclot from you lifesaver bag and inject him. After you wait for some time, the internal bleeding will stop and a external bleeding will show up, but you just need to bandage it again. On your health scanner, you detected broken bones, so you must put him on a roller bed (CTRL+left click a roller bed, then you will pull it. Drag it to the patient and click right on his floor tile. After that, drag the sprite of the marine to the sprite of the rollerbed, just clicking and dragging with the left mouse, and release it) and drag him to the body scanner. After that, click on the rollerbed to unbuckle him, get a free hand slot and left click him with the grab intent, then click on the body scanner to put him there. Check the body scanner painel, print the report and remove him from the scanner (Right click it or go to Objects tab). So, he has a broken chest, and a surgery is needed.
First surgery
So, you are on the OR, ready to peform the surgery. First thing, put the patient into the operating table. For that, unbuckle him from the roller bed, click with grab intent then click on the table. Then, Open the locker below you and get the mask and the tank. After that, with the anesthesic tank in your hand, drag his sprite to you and click on the backpack slot. When you remove the backpack, click again. Same thing for the mask, but on the mask slot. After that, click on "set internals" and begin the surgery (wiki/Surgery) (sometimes you hand may slip, but it's ok, just continue the surgery). After you finish it, drag his sprite and click on the mask and anesthesic tank, and he will wake up soon.
Chems
_--------------------------------------------
End
Well, this was my very small guide for new users about how to do the most basic things on the medbay. I will write another guide about being a CMO, replacing robotic limbs and even a researcher guide. I'm not very good at chemistry, so i'll write more later. Thanks if you apreciate the help on this guide. And sorry about the typos, i'm not very good at english

Basic medbay/doctor guide for new players
On May 17, 2016, a group of farmers dug up the diary of an ear of corn named Watson. Here are his entries.
Day 76:
They took Lawrence, dear god Lawrence... They ripped him off the stalk and smeared him in butter, just like Tyler and Jodie. They shipped him off to the popcorn factory...
I wonder what his wife will say.
Day 120: My brother says the VEGANS are protesting for more anti-meat bullshit. They want more of us to die. FUCKING HEATHENS.
Day 153: The ants are eating me from the inside out. They are popping out my kernels and taking them back to the nest. I feel them moving inside me. Julia says the pesticides will end our misery.
Day 300: Sweet Release. I can hear the planes flying over now. They are dropping the gas, it feels so good, sweet release-

Re: Basic medbay/doctor guide for new players
I suppose I can chime in with some of my own tips. Not so much a comprehensive guide as this but just what I picked up.
Wash hands before and after every surgery, or for speed use a space cleaner to avoid infections.
When doing bone repair surgery on someone who's heavily wounded always use the bone gel as many times as possible after you use the bone setter which will heal all fractures in that area, be sure to scan them after surgery to check for any more.
Taking two beakers of the Cryoxadone meant for the Cryopods at the start is an excellent way to boost Peridax Production at round start. Cryox can be replaced with a more comprehensive cryomix later.
Chems stack when taken so tricord+bicard both work to heal brute and can be used in cryomix for faster heals.

Re: Basic medbay/doctor guide for new players
I like it. Basic first-aid guide. Short, but no major errors, and details different levels of damage.
