What Makes Me A Good Pyro-man?
Well I can't reveal the secret sauce to my recipe for success, but here's a few things you should/should not do when kitting out as a pyromancer or simply using one on the field.
Well If I Was A Bad Pyro-man...
1. Bad fire-nation warriors will set their allies on fire, remember the Golden Rule of Pyromania: "Be a gentleman, only raise a toast to your enemies".
2. Bad forest-fire enthusiasts will spam their flamethrower without thinking about the environment around them, if you're in a wide area you know is being flanked by hostiles and you aren't moving in the direction of said hostiles, apply a liberal blanket of fire to suppress targets. A bad forest-fire enthusiast will simply light things on fire because he can, one must remember the power of the flame you wield in your hands, it can take life, and give life, but mostly only take life. Do not use as an offensive weapon as it blocks your own passage as well as the enemies.
3. Bad napalm-addicts-suffering-from-withdrawal will not hand out their flamer fuel packs to those in need of them, one must remember, these things come FILLED TO THE BRIM with the USCM's own special mix of liquid napalm, three to four tanks is enough to keep up sustained fire of a flamethrower for at least an hour. Sharing is caring after all.
4. Bad pyrotechnical professionals will not prepare for the inevitability that is a Marine walking into your quite literal 'Field of Fire', ALWAYS PACK A FIRE EXTINGUISHER, and remember to turn the safety off by clicking on it while it's in hand, turn it off and store it once you're done using it. Packing one of these can mean the difference between life and death after a moment of baldness occurs whilst standing near a patch of fire.
I was gonna add more stuff but I'm a lazy australian so here's the last tip, the flamers range is as far as you can click, but some objects block its path.
