The guide to be a Offensive marine

Post by SASoperative » 29 Jun 2015, 15:08

This guide will teach you the basics of being a offensive marine:
What you will need:
1 M41A rifle (ONLY ONE Alpha will make it so you can not put 7 in your bag)
TWO M4A3 pistols.
two flashlights. (A third on your M41A with a bayonet and put the other two on your M4A3 pistols and put those in your pockets)
And a belt full of ammunition
And two extra clips for your M4A3 pistols on your armor
And of course, The knife in your boots
There you have it. Your load out is set!
Being Offensive believe it or not does not mean going rambo. To be a true offensive marine you actually have to be a team player, Having engineers and medics assist you along the way, Marines require teamwork to win the game in general so this make reasonable sense. The two flashlights (3 when you can apply them to weapons again in Alpha) Are so you have better sights thus allowing you to fire at and hit runners and warriors before they can get into pouncing distance, Most of the time runners will run off scared after they are hit seeing how weak they are. And if they do manage to pounce you and they can not face hug you this is where your pistols take effect, Given the runners HP if you hit it at least twice with the M41a rifle before you are down if you get up and start shooting with that pistol I can guarantee a kill if you actually hit it.

Now lets go onto how to be offensive in hives, This is where teamwork plays a key goal. Believe it or not, being offensive means you should not be conserving ammo, Make sure your not hitting your allied marines but shoot down narrow corridors if aliens have only one way to get out other than the vents or tunnels, This gives engineers time to go up and remove the walls. Of course you might have to tell them to remove them. And if you do get hit don't be afraid to call for a medic. Offensive marines need to stay at 100% HP at all times if they can, The 10 or 20% Hp can make a difference. After engineers take down the walls you should be the one to help make the push, Once you have gotten in than the rest SHOULD follow behind you. Now lets go onto the fun matter of eggs. If you see eggs, Try to avoid shooting them. Get other marines to attempt to get them for you. This means you are still saving ammo to keep aliens off your fellow marines or keeping them pinned down for marines to move in and finish them off. These are the basics to being a Offensive marine, I have stuck with this tactic and it has earned me about four kills minium per game. you might be a team player but you are racking in alot more kills than you would when you go rambo. I can also assure you, Your life span will increase greatly
If you want more advanced tactics as a offensive marine just send me a PM.
Why am I still here again?
Just your Former Head Staff stalking around from time to time I suppose.

Command and control principles help, as well. Someone on the ground needs to be giving orders, calling the action as they proceed. If the FOB is at a location with access to security cameras, that will help tremendously. Someone on the cameras can scout ahead, feeding valuable information about the terrain and enemy placement. If it's Xenobio or Viro, then flanking through maintenance - if done right with enough troops - would be a sound tactic to wrongfoot the defense. Establishing an MG helps, as well, because Banter once successfully used the MG for assaulting Viro.

If you follow this and people cooperate you can take down a hive with literally four marines. I do it all the time with Sanctum.

It's a mag not a clip [<3333] and my input on being an offensive marine is to squad up with your friendly neighborhood mongol [or greytide or standards] and actually communicate and have a cohesive unit. Calling out and pretending to be a trained killing shithead doesn't only make you look stupid, it helps you kill heretic aliums. Have shitlers and grieflings who you stabbed with a broken bottle during briefing in a squad full of rifles is not a good squad. If you want to be an offensive marine, be assigned to a squad suited with people who can shoot. Leave the stormtroopers to squad up with medics and engineers. In short, you should find people you work well with, and work like that. It's not meta [kinda] if you prefer to stick to people you can rely on and roleplay/play effectively with.

This explains so much why Delta squad legit lasts about twenty minutes..... GET WITH THE PROGRAM -3- Your full of 12 year olds who love call of duty see Delta squad and immediately run for it. Think about it. Delta was DEAD until summer vacation started.

Heheh, I was Joking, you take the shit too serious, you mad bro? Trying to be an offensive marine?

Most of the playerbase is underaged, not a surprise, also I know my group, I'm talking about people like Xur, Wooki, Khan, Sheridan, Mike...

We have some newcomers now, but the squad is mainly RP focused, of course we die, I'm not a great fighter and In normal circumstances I refuse to use any kinds of extra face protection due it's meta nature, Fick is also in, and the Delta Stronk crap is a joke, SAS, quit the bloq mayus and think about what you are being told.

I am in the high school too, so I can't be online at the night 2 AM and that, to play as Delta SL, so it makes sense that it's just on at summer break.

And holy shit, please, do not compare with the alpha kid baldies that run to the LO line to get alpha SL, that's just.. Wrong?

Delta is a group I know I can have fun with, Losing or not, shouting around at the playerbase for having their own groups that are not Sanctum is not going to help anyone.

praise the angrey mereheen.

But on a serious note, SAS, the reason Delta FORCE [Not squad] was in Call of Duty was because it's an actual special operations group in the united states.
