So if you were able to keep the peace from waking up to after briefing then congradulations you completed stage one because as an MP your job is never done until the end of the mission.
Next I will teach you all about
stow aways/terrorist and how to deal with them.
Stow aways/terrorists
After briefing you will have a lot more free time on your hand but anytime
high command is not online then you will need to keep the peace until they are able to reach you.
Anyone in the platoon can be a terrorist or a stow away ranging from non-combat roles to combat roles so keep your guard up and stay frosty!
This usually occurs when the ship is run by a
skeleton crew and high command does not have overwatch on the situation. This is where you intervene.
Also a note that if you hear someone shoot, I can guarantee you that it is either a
terrorist or some idiot marine, has miss fired his/her rifle on the UPPER deck of the Sulaco.
Identifying terrorist
In my experience as an MP I have detained a handful of terrorist so they can't cause anymore damage to the ship and its crew but that will never be enough.
As stated earlier anyone can be a
terrorist that have been assigned to this mission so you should always keep an eye on those you don't trust.
You need to listen to sounds of gun fire, window smashing and ect.
Military Police:
Yes even the person you were assigned with to guard the Sulaco, is even a possible
terrorist but this is a rare occurance but if they walk out of brig with full riot gear then keep a very close eye on them.
Medical staff:
In medbay there are a few ways in which one of the doctors can be a terrorist, by either letting their patient die by killing them or by using anesthetic, that stuns and yields the defender hopeless.
If you see a doctor that is not preforming a surgical operation with anesthetic out in their hand, then you are to detain this person by any means and question why they have it out in the open.
If they reply with a bullshit answer of "To defend myself against aliens", your reply must be similiar to this "What aliens,they don't exists" and if they change the topic to "Okay, then to defend myself against (insert dumbass enemy here)", you have the ultimate suspicion in putting them to perma brig.
Command staff:
Even one of the tricky bastards that somehow managed to climb their way up the ranks to soon unleash hell upon the operaton or just general dicking about and causing unrest towards the marines. You are to find these terrorist and detian them by putting them into brig.
This is an example of what had happened when I was an MP:
So one time after hearing gun fire I rushed to the sceen of where I heard it to find the commander killed with a bridge officer standing beside him with the commanders golden desert deagle and you can all guess who was the terrorist.
Tazing the bastard down I had stripped them of their headset, belt, emptied their pockets and ect. Afterwards he went SSD while I put him in brig.
Marines:
The most common type of terrorisers as there can be a numerous amount of them. They can be the dumbass pyjamarine blankly guns someone down to a smartass that picks a different role that gives them a small advantage.
Non-combat personnel:
These are the RO,cargo tech and maintenance technicians who could be damaging the ship by just releasing the supermatter,phoron into the air and a few more.
Usually uncommon but can happen.
Take downs
This is where I will tell you on how to take down any roudy marines or
terrorist in a swift manner.
To arrest someone you need an aggressive grab on them to successfully cuff them (don't ask why) so please do this.
But this is MY way of detaining them so anyone can alter them to their advantage in taking them down.
Solo takedowns:
This is when you are the only MP avaliable for dispatchment or you are the ONLY MP on the Sulaco.
First off I will run through a couple of senarios that I have encountered and will alter them to fit the guide.
Armed with ranged weaponry
If the suspect is armed with a lethal weapons (e.g. the M41A Pulse rifle) you will need to do the following steps.
1. Check your surroundings.
It is absoultaly important that you aren't boxed in where your suspect has the advantage in gunning you down so retreat if needed in order to get the inititive.
Areas like cryostasis is okay since the cyrosleepers stop bullets and projectiles so use them to your advantage in blocking bullets.
2. Choose your weapon of choice.
If you want to role with the taser then fine by me for take downs since it's straight forward in taking the enemy down but be warned that if it runs dry you are boned unless you can get him in CQC with a stun baton.
My choice ins action would be the following.
Throw a (few) flashbang(s) at the enemy to stun them, taze them down with your taser and cuff them to brig.
Ways of taking them down:
If you're using flashbangs I do advise you to wear eye protection so you won't be stunned and to time your flashbangs as the victim can easily get away if thrown too early.
If you're using taser bring a backup one.
If you're using a stun baton then good luck to you.
If you're using a flash make sure they aren't wearing any eye protect which will render it useless agaisnt them.
If you're using pepper spray make sure they aren't wearing a gas mask.
3. Brig
Easy thing is to cuff them, strip them of anything that could possibly harm you and perma brig them.
Armed with CQC weaponry
Easiest way to deal with them is to taze or pepperspray,cuff and brig
And if the enemy is in CQC then go CQC if you're crazy enough with the stun baton or use ranged weaponry like a tazer or possibly use the pepperspray.
Multiple armed terrorists
If you are outnumbered 2,3,6 or whatever:1 then this is how I would possible deal with them.
Method 1: Ambush
The most strategic tactitc in military planning is to ambush them.
If there are 2 or more terrorists doing their terrorists things then setup an ambush.
They are likely to try and kill anyone stopping them so you will need to take them ALL down.
It will always depend on if they are seperated or not.
If not then if you see a group of them then prep a flashbang and get ready to throw it at them so all terrorists are down where you can arrest them.
The element of surprise is key to pulling this off.
Cuffing the suspect
So two bastards have been knocked down, now quickly go to their location and cuff one of them but be careful, since one of the terrorist could get up while you're cuffing one they could kill you so stun the other suspect(s) to increase their stun time.
Call in backup
So you have a few bastards that need escorting to brig, this is the point in where you need a few extra hands in putting the scum in brig so call for backup.
Method 2:Serperation
You are possilby outmanned and outgunned so the best solution is to seperate all suspects.
By isolating them to one or two suspects it becomes a whole lot easier to take the boggies down.
Follow the guide to fighting in CQC or ranged to take all suspects down.
Cuff and leave them in a safe place with all weapons and gear stripped away from them, so no more harm could be caused.
Method 3:Kill all terrorists
This my friend is the most frowned upon since you are no better than the terrorists.
This SHOULD only be a last resort in order to keep the peace and to stop any bad activity from occuring again.
But be warned that if it is then fire at will until every scumbag is down.

Co-operative take downs
This is bascially when there is more than one or hard to catch suspect, you are going to need backup.
So this is what other MPs are for.
You can co-ordinate your attack via the MP channel ( it's this channel = Say":p (whatever you were going to type) ) to say where the suspect is and who will detain them.
I never really see when a co-ordinated attack is being accomplished but this is how I will do it.
In an area such as this:
One MP will come from the northern corridor to act as a decoy and another one will come from the south to throw a flashbang and to arrest.

* skeleton crew (Low pop server)
*high command does not have overwatch on the situation (No admins/mods currently online or mentors to deal with situation)
