Thinking About the Round and Others Guide

Post by Butterrobber202 » 23 Dec 2015, 12:25

Any of you been stuck in DChat screaming about how the Marines are turtling when there are maybe 2 Aliens left? Yep. We have all been there.

So here I will try to explain how to make the rounds fun for every player.

Everyone:
1.) Remember, for every Person or alien you see, there is a Real Life Person out there Controlling that Marine/Alien. Marines if you get Punched 1 time by another Marine. Don't kill them for it, to guard you sense of 'Honor'. This is a VIDEO GAME, not your fantasy land, Other People matter too.

2.) Flip side of 1. For every GHOST in the Game there is a Person. Marines don't turtle, I know, you are afraid of dying and stuff. But when its a 5 hour round with 30+ Ghost waiting on you to finish those 2 Aliens, just do it, even IF you die, you will come back Next round fairly quickly if your fellow Squadies finish the Job.

3.) Both Sides, if you KNOW the round needs to end soon. END IT, Aliens if there are 2 of you outnumbered and all, don't just sit. Go attack the Marines and take as many as you can with you. It will make you Happy when you see the Stack of Corpses underneath your Corpse, it will make the MARINES Happy because they won, and it will make the GHOSTS happy because they can play again.
Marines, if there are 2 of you left, grab Grenades throw them every where, and get hugged so the round can end. Makes you happy because you took some out, aliens happy because they Won, Ghost happy because they can play once more. 3/3 people Happy. Much Happy.

Marines:
1.) Think. Yes I know it will be hard for some of you. Just take a Split Second to THINK about what a person would do in real life. Its not hard. Imagine, seeing the world in 1st Person from you Guy's eyes, you holding that Frag Grenade, and you see Marines in-front of you. Think about what a Sense-able Person would do.THROW IT! IF THEY ARE IN THE WAY ITS THEIR FAULT. You put that Grenade in your Pocket, and reach the Front-lines, then Throw it as far as you can into the Alien Lines.

Aliens:
1.) Listen. Yes Yes I know. The Queen wants to make a all attack push when she doesn't know what is happening on the front lines. It sucks. There are 2 things you can do. Tell her what is happening or Just do it, not like you have free will or anything. Also if she doesn't listen, you still have to do it. Sorry!

Last Note: This is a RP Server, so your Marine should have Feelings and stuff. Aliens, you should only have the Will to serve the Queen.

(Not Done)
Add More Stuff in the Comments and I'll Add'em in.

For me and everyone else:

MAN THE FUCK UP

AND FIGHT DAMNIT.

For round start:

As the commanding officer of the Sulaco all you need to do is brief the marines, tell them their objectives, launch the dropship with the marines inside and that's it.

Delaying for drop is a way for the enemy to be more prepared and in CMs case, all aliens becoming high tier. (I'm looking at a certain officer here but I can tell you're kinda so I will leave you off with disrespect)
Even if it strengthens numbers, what then? You have an alien cluster right on the beach head or every single one of them stalking you, ready for an ambush.
The players know the marines/aliens are coming but in an RP scenario they don't know jack shit,so just send them off on their merry way to die slowly.

I quote "Time and your common goal is your enemy in a fight."
The more time you make at prep in this cases is a certain way for the enemy to prepare for everything.
Every officers limit in briefing someone should be 10 - 25 minutes into the game with no other delays.
Remeber, the more time you waste, the more time the enemy gets to prepare.

That is all.

George S.Patton once said:No bastard ever won a war by dying for his country. He won it by making some other poor dumb bastard die for his country.

I don't like cute things.

Good hunting.
