Lacy Scraps super duper guide to Requistions. Part 1: CRATES [ in progress]

Post by KingKire » 19 Jun 2016, 11:30

CRATE LIST: The wiki is outdated currently, but here's the crates i've managed to scramble out so far:
The list works as so:
Name [point cost/ point cost with crate refunded] ( "how useful/ efficient to order said crate in a game" out of 5)

special hints:
- You gain 2 supply points every 30 seconds, which is 4 points a minute.
- Any crate shipped back to high command will give you 5 supply points as soon as the ship docks at the command port
- properly processed shipping papers ( the papers that come inside the crate, not the ones printed from the computers) will give you 1 supply point if the paper is shipped back with the correct stamp.
- I haven't checked it out, but i believe improperly processed papers will lose you 1 supply point. Needs testin
- There is no other way of generating supply points. Phoron, thalers, people... none of those will work, unless... i have never tried it but maybe you can make a deal with high command for extra points via the wayland-yutani fax machine?
- You can hack the supply shipping console to gain access to a contraband crate order by multitooling the supply chip to broadband. I have not ordered it, but it's there as an option.

Black Market Weapons:
VIntage Deagle (It can be obtained in regular Titanium, or in Gold. 12 .50AE round mags, damage is around the smartgun, from what i've seen.)
Hold-out Pistol (Shitty at best, but does have burstfire in it, making it a ghetto M4A3 with burstfire attachment and can slice away a good portion of most ayylium's HP)
Custom Built Shotgun (The Holy-Grail of shotguns, and maybe even weapons in general, Burstfire ability of 4 rounds and solid accuracy allows this shotgun to potentially OHKO T3s and ancient T2s. But it comes at a cost of not being able to have attachments and it's 8 round clip.)
S&W .357
CMB Autorevolver
.45 Automag
M1911 Pulse Pistol
VP-70 (the AP ammo is just a name AFAIK, and does not demonstrate any actual AP effects from my knowledge)

Nagant-Yamasaki Firearm:
MAR-30 Carbine/40 Rifle: Ruskie 12mm weapon with very high damage (3-shot burst from a MAR hitting a runner killed it me thinks) and burst fire with the ability of attaching attachments. Comes with a 40 round mag and interchangable with the SVD
SVD-033 Dragunov: Every marine's wetdream(because survivors can easily get it) Burstfire ability, and very high damage, along with a built-in stock and scope with sniper barrel makes this an excellent machine. EVEN better if wielded in the right hands. (Reccomended approach is to take off the stock and maybe rail scope if you're not going planetside anytime soon and trade it for an RDS and toggle that burst-fire on).
KT-45

On the note of "everything you need is able to be autolathed" in the surgery crate. Bone-fix is REQUIRED as bone-fractures are the MOST common interal injury and one of the UNFIXABLE by drugs(Organ damage>Peridaxon,Internal bleeding?>Quick-Clot,Eye damage?>Imid-whateverthefuckitwas)

EDIT: The underbarrel crate ALSO contains shit that mahreens use which are: Bipod, Foregrip, and Gyro.

Mmm, ill add it in these items right now. thank you haha. So there is no other way to get bone-fix? Not even the vendor switch-a-roo with empty packets?
edit: whats the kt-45?

I think this is a good guide, even if its just to show a list of what each crate has.

It's, actually, awesome guide, since I when I was making my guide, I was too lazy to seek for crates content list and I always wanted to have one.

I thought I'd add a Doctor's perspective on the Medical crates:
MEDICAL CRATE [25/20 pts]
basic medical supplies
This is for dropping to Squad Medics, not my area. If it has the same contents as the default Baystation medical crate, quite a lot of the stuff inside is useless but the troopers will be able to scavenge the useful parts easily enough (and the good stuff in there is worth the points). You might want to get the RO to ask the Doctors on :m whether or not they've made any pills that you could add to the supply drop. Or take a peek in the fridge in the Medbay foyer, and grab an assortment of whatever has been left there for the Squad Medics.
BODY BAG CRATE [10/5 pts]
3x body bag boxes
You're spot on with this one being mostly useless. Body bags are infinitely re-usable, and medical already has a box full of them at round start. They are useful for quickly bagging up and dragging large piles of loose gear though, so you might actually find a couple come in handy for moving cargo about - and 5 net points is a dirt cheap crate. You could also just steal a bag from the cloning bay when the Doctors aren't looking though (just don't take the whole box, we do actually use them).
STASIS BAG CRATE:[40/35 pts]
3x stasis bags
The only way to get new stasis bags. They're infrequently used, and dangerous to the patient even when they do get employed. They are, however, single-use (opening the bag destroys it) so if the Squad Medics use them all up you might want to think about buying some. This is a very expensive crate for what it contains though; if the marines are getting hurt enough to need this there are better things to spend those points on.
SURGERY CRATE: [25/20 pts]
1x set of surgical tools
1x anaesthetic tank and mask
This crate is awesome, but you'll probably only need to buy one.

Medical starts off with three operating theatres (two in medbay and one in the hangar), and only two sets of tools. If they have the staff, and especially if they're sending someone down to the FOB as a field surgeon, this crate is the only way to properly equip a new operating theatre. Most of the tools can be autolathed, but one of the ones that can't (bonegel) is absolutely essential. Broken bones are the number one reason for surgery, and one of only two or three injuries that can't be corrected any other way. In a pinch they can use a screwdriver instead, but that's likely to lead to them screwing up surgery and injuring their patients. If the CMO sends a doctor down to the FOB, this crate is an essential minimum requirement for them to get set up unless the map contains surgical tools they can scavenge planetside. If your medbay is fully staffed, you can expect them to want certainly one and possibly two of these crates during a round. 20 points isn't a huge ask, and it'll save lives.
STERILE CLOTHING CRATE: [15/10pts]
1x box of medical gloves
1x box of medical masks
2x green surgery suits
3x medical belts
Medical belts are useless because Combat Lifesaver Bags exist, and if there are no CLBs left there's already a ton of belts in Medbay. The other stuff helps prevent infections during operations if worn by the surgeon. Medical starts with a box of masks and a box of gloves, and the lockers there contain more scrubs. Unless something goes incredibly wrong these won't be needed, and if something's gone that wrong there will be much more important things to order. Don't bother with this one.
