On flamethrowers, the initial blast also does damage, so spamming it is recommended.

I'm pretty sure fire removes the cooldown on a rav's charge too, so there's that.

This never works against robust crushers. I've died to melee all of 0 times.

Late reply, but I believe that things have now improved. Snipers are not particularly effective vs crushers except with incendiary rounds.

You can robust him with a machete, pointblank him with buckshot or shotgun slugs, burn him to death with a flamer, etc. But if the crusher is smart, you won't kill him, basically that. Only if you OB his ass or hit with AT rocket.

And you can't kill if toroic is playing as crusher

I remember both! First one I went up the ladders into a tabletrap as a young crusher derp and turned into burned goo.

Second one I was elite but the hive was down to like 3 and that was a robust squad. Got popped like a grape.

If the flamer actually worked like one by applying burn damage and setting mobs on fire instead of taking 5 years to damage things indirectly by igniting tiles with magic yoga flame, this would be a very short guide.

It is a shame that melee doesn't work very well against a crusher, considering that it is the only other option to ensure damage dealt other than the use of fire-based weapons.

With enough coordination, you'd think it would be possible to time a charge and swarm a crusher after it uses it's stomp, keeping it from escaping as you cut it down with boot knives.. But due to the nature of marines and the fact that a smart crusher is rarely alone, it is hard to accomplish such a task, even with the low HP pool they are said to have.

This fact sucks, due to the fact that trying to kill a crusher with bullets (AP rounds even!) is a difficult task due to their heavy frontal armor, and it is often hard to get a good flank in when they are in tight spaces. Your only other hope are AP rockets, but lately those have been less reliable, and even then, if you still have an HE loaded, your Sadar is useless until you empty it out, a crusher taunting you all the way.

It is why I hate crushers so, and quietly express both horror and hate when one comes into view, because I know it is going to be a pain in the ass to kill.

Even with hyperzine he will tackle you down, just need to find a robust crusher. One tackle and you are dead, he can just remove your helmet with a hugger and slash you two or three times to put on pain crit, if you wake up, because he can tackle you AGAIN and slash more, then you are RIP

Snypatizine, something like that. Yes, i forgot about it, but you need to have a meta buddy playing at chem to make it for you and mix with hyperzine. BUt even with no stun if he slashes you sometimes on the foot, he can rip it off (as mature). Or just ram you and give 0 fucks
