Unified Xeno Macro Guide
Alright everyone, this is my best attempt to make a unified set of macros we can use as a "gold standard" for xeno castes. Obviously personal preference matters a great deal but I think that liberal use of \n can make things a lot easier to set up one set of macros for all castes.
Here is what I'm using, and I'd like feedback about what other people think could improve this. Thank you to N for some of the verbs.
Q + Shift = Toggle-Darkvision\nToggle-Darkness
Q + Alt = Transfer-Plasma Queen\nTransfer-Plasma Empress
W + Shift = Northface
W + Alt = say "*roar"
E + Shift = Toggle-Pheromones-(30)
R + Shift = Plant-Weeds-(75)\nToggle-Spit-Type\nToggle-Bombard
R + Alt = Resist
T + Shift = .click mov_intent
A + Shift = Westface
S + Shift = Southface
S + Alt = say "*tailwhip"
D + Shift = Eastface
D + Alt = say "*dance"
F + Shift = Secrete-Resin-(75)
G + Shift = Cancel-Camera-View
Z + Shift = Lay-Egg-(100)
C + Shift = Toggle-Charging\nResin-Walker\nToggle-Long-Range-Sight-(20)\nHide\nGut-(200)
C + Alt = Crawl-Through-Vent
V + shift = Regurgitate
V = Ready-Tail-Attack
Space = Screech-(250)\nStomp-(50)\nBombard-(200-250)\nDig-Tunnel-(200)
The general idea is that WASD are for movement, Q is for toggling nightvision and plasma transferring, ERF are for special abilities, C is for toggles, and space is for combat oriented special abilities (allowing full use of WASD while using)

We really need a quick verb for the different resins.
Also a "resinwalks" that just makes you spawn resing wherever you walk.

What I do is hover my mouse over the right spot and use a macro to bring up the build menu. This allows me to rapidly build while moving.Iatots wrote:We really need a quick verb for the different resins.

Middle mouse is default, which is generally sufficient in my experience.notasyndie wrote:Any good keys for pouncing?

Thank you mate for this one. Make everything so much easyer for me. Found a problem and it was misspelling. Darkvison Is Darkvision. Love this setup and was struggling using arrow keyes since wasd was akward until i found this

Re: Unified Xeno Macro Guide
Sorry for bumping this if its not appropriate, but since this is the unified xeno macro guide, is there a way to macro building different resin types? Or at least a way to macro it so pressing the resin macro allows you to just instantly hit enter as well so I can at least spam resin doors rapidly?
Would defo be appreciated if its possible, considering it would help when rapidly creating forward bases as a hivelord while under fire.

Re: Unified Xeno Macro Guide
I just memorize the number of "R"s for walls, floors, and doors, and the "S" for sticky resin. Nearly as efficient as macros, and about as good as it gets due to lack of specific verbs.

Re: Unified Xeno Macro Guide
On the topic of macros- at round start is there a way to swap to my alien macro file if I get chosen as aliens without restarting the byond client?
