This is something I do, albeit, in another manner. It can be very advantageous for the commander to exaggerate the number of Xenomorphs killed, while greatly under-reporting the number of marine casualties. The result is the opposite, in that the marines now believe they are winning. Telling them they are outright losing is a bad idea, however. The only indication they should have they are losing is when the great victories reported over the command announcements come closer to the FOB.

I told them everything is lost. My biggest problem was that people spread and ran around alone instead of defending the FOB. I wanted them to be terrified enough to go back and defend together. But they were going to die anyway, so I also wanted people on the Sulaco to build defenses knowing their lives depend on it.

I got reported for throwing "yeah yeah, whatever" "if you scream that means your lungs are still good" and such comments as a doctor moving through surgery of 30 marines at sanic speed, never failing any. So people might disagree. Or they were in the mood to be pampered.

It would have been a great callous RP Doctor if they actually succeeded at their surgery. They turned a one minute surgery into one that took five minute and still failed to do it right. I'm amazed that the patient didn't die at all during it

For the record, a Medic euthanized the patient since they kept screaming in pain and they were still missing a leg.

Someone needs to talk to the admins about that, if it were down to a vote to put it in or not then i'd +1 the shit out of it. In fact it shouldn't be a debate to put it in or not, a trained Marine stabbing another Marine or Officer over saying please is retarded.

People complain about marines using the actual caste names to describe xenos but, uh..

/guess who named the xenos, guys/

I get it for the queen (unless you see her lay eggs) or the sentinel (unless you see it guarding hosts) and possibly the praetorian (but something that badass deserves a name like that), but besides that, it makes sense to call them by their caste name so long as you see them using their defining abilities.

As for the topic, basically anyone who forgets what 'USMC' means the second they see a predator.
