Does the Sulaco really not have a basic radar? Do they not know where their own ships are? It also doesn't help that a few times we've had to abandon ship, only for the admins to bomb us to death for 'delaying the round'. It's not our fucking fault you made the Sulaco uninhabitable.
This argument would fair better for the atmos discussion we havr in general discussion.

Really, the entire point of this, is that you should never be falling back to the Sulaco. If Marines are retreating to the Sulaco, then all is lost. At that point, xenos have pretty much won.
Also, it made no sense for a xeno to be able to perfectly pilot a ship into the hangar.

So everyone on the ship should just give up and die? There should be no way of defending it ever? Everyone on planet should never retreat ever?
How often have you actually played this game?
The ship can literally fly itself, which it usually does, perfectly into the hangar. The bigger question is why does the autopilot disable like that? Aren't there failsafes for not slamming it into the side of its own ship?

Beyond the previously mentioned completely unfun nonsense of being instagibbed at randumb without any real warning when the Rasputin crashes, a clearly unintended consequence of this change is that LZ1 is now all or nothing; if the Xenus manage to get on the Rasputin while the majority of marines are planetside, it's basically game over; just wait until the Queens start figuring this out. Soon, there will be no viable FOB except for LZ1 to stop this terminal event from happening.
