Alpha team got sent 15 minutes into Big Red. I kept hearing noises in medical, so I loaded up some buckshot and went in.

Turns out a survivor was fighting for their life from two sentinels. Pushed past the survivor because we were both dumb and didn't take off help intent, and hit both with buckshot. One went into crit and the other tried to save it. Downed the second and finished them both off.

Grabbed the survivor and we went back to the Normandy. Died to FF in the very next battle.

Most robust thing I've ever done is follow orders.

Dude said charge, I charged,

one guy went with me... Increasingly I think I would have survived had he not turned back. It is difficult for the xenos to secure the kill or drag you back if there is anyone still standing behind you.

In other words I think reckless pushing could achieve impressive results for the marines.

Edit: or rather a staggered push.

One time I was a pilot officer and running trans, the xenos kept attacking the ship every time i landed.
Most of the time to drag off wounded, so I got me a shotgun with buck shot and waited for them to attack again.
They dragged off some marine who was missing a leg, I come running out and killed three xenos, 1 hunter, 2 runners,.
I did not save the marine because the hunter was salty and killed him before attacking me.

I slipped on a banana peel directly after priming an M40 HEDP grenade south of fitness during an assault on the queenie alongside buncha other aliems, Ended up going off blowing up not only myself but a nearby medic and two other spess muhreens, Afterwards the aliems saw their chance and rushed us down killing even more muhreens and a specialist or two. I like to think i single handedly saved the aliems that day with my awesome heroic actions! I'm not allowed to touch grenades or flamethrower's anymore, But that sure as hell doesn't stop me!

Holy goddamn I vividly remember the first time I killed a predator one on one melee, then a second one that wasnt really fair cus he was stunned from something.

Twas a While back, when LV-624 was only about 2 months into the map rotation, still had the Old (superior) Sprites, like the bright red runners and acid vat looking boilers. Also around the time when the Machete was just getting introduced, when it was OP as all living hell and would block anything when comboed with a riot shield.

Anyway, this round, the Marine known as Helgraf Jarle rolled Specialist, all excited I was in Delta squad, I went and ate 2 Protein bags of blended rats, grabbed my boots and marine outfit and sprinted to the RO. Got the Machete I had yet to try out. After grabbing this resonating weapon of mass xeno destruction, I dawned the B18 Armor that was so generously bestowed upon me by the RNG god. After getting all my gear set, a spare pistol, MANY throwing knives, i was forgetting something.

I went to briefing, listened to whatever the CO had to say, and then made a B-line straight for the CMO. Asked to get hooked up with some combat drugs, stuffed the pill bottle chock filled with drugs, which were fucking amazing, I ran like I didnt have an armor on at all, and I cut down xenos like a fucking woodchipper to racoons.

Okay so after killing some ayyliums and shit, I heard talks about a disappearing humanoid on the radio, some people died from it and people were all in general just freaking out about it more than the aliens. I was like "this is my fucking moment, I get to Arnold Schwarzenegger some pred ass". It took a while for me to find one at all, but this was towards the end of the middle of the round, Ayyliums were getting fucked and they retreated, we were ordered to stay and defend the nexus. Most of us were chillin out the north exit, hiding behind barriers and the many, surprisingly intact grilles, (marines tend to tear these shits apart like rapid dogs for some god awful reason)

But then I saw a Shimmer, it was running down the path outside the nexus, I knew it was the predator, pointed at it and the shimmer stopped moving, then it uncloaks itself, roaring at me pointing out I could see it, and extends its wrist blades.

Every. Single. Fucking. Marine. Surrounded us like a fucking moshpit. Everyone was waiting for the fight to start, I was yelling at everyone to calm down and let the duel begin. Eventually they all settle down. The Predator growls at me, as I hold up a single finger, I drop my Machete and Riot Shield, pop a xana-I mean steroids. Making sure that the predator notices that I ate a pill. His confused body language he portrayed soon disappeared, as I clapped my Machete against my Shield, and he swept up his arms, flinging the dirt up in an intimidation attempt, I make the first move.

The battle only lasted about 10 minutes, but it felt like an eternity, he swung many times, most of them I blocked with either the machete or the shield, and the hits he actually did land on me did barley any damage to slow me down, I was a tank fighting an assassin.

I landed my first hit on his arm, then my second in his chest. He began to slow down, but not without the ferocious spirit of a predator still boiling in his neon blood. My shield shined with that blood, I land my third hit on his leg, my fourth on the other, the predator was really slowing down now, the creature still trying to fight honorably. I land the fifth on his head, and the final blown to his leg finally was enough to put him to the ground in crit.

The adrenaline rushing through my body was so intense, I was about to kill the poor bastard, cut his head off for killing my brothers and sisters in arms. But I stopped, and waited, deciding if I should give it mercy, everyone around me begging me to kill the damn thing, then out of nowhere some Baldie with crayon wax drooling out of his mouth shoots the damn thing with a flamer. My Honor was ruined, then all hell broke loose, the marines, like starving hyenas, went straight for the predator, ripping and tearing his burning flesh apart, the poor thing didnt even get a change to blow himself up, his head in one place, his torso in cargo.

That, was the best, most memorable experience I have had with this server and this game in my life. One of my best moments.

Goddamn I love this game.

You see this poor motherfucker? Over 200 damage EACH of burn and brute?

I saved him.

Took over a stack each of burn and trauma kits, and an ENTIRE defib's charge, from full to empty, but I got that asshole breathing again, even as other medics begged and yelled at me to stop wasting charge on what was obviously a lost cause.

Marine major blared out a few minutes later.

I really have no idea, but maybe he was caught in a boiler acid cloud, and then immediately run over/stomped by a Crusher? Or maybe he just got riddled with bullets as he staggered out from being spat to death.

Two delayyliens were left alive on the planet while Marines were doing jack shit on the Almayer to go finish them off. I was infected for a while now and no one was willing to help. Deciding to take matters into my own hands, I picked up a rifle and convinced an MP to send me down to the planet alone. Immediately after landing, I encountered the Queen and solo'd her, but bursted before I could hunt down the last xeno (a runner) or kill myself.

Another non-Marine example was when the entire Marine force of all four squads pushed to attack the LV-624 caves and were actually making progress. As a ravager (before this stupid fucking upgrade system) I buddied up with two hunters, one of whom already had a reputation prior for soloing the entire Sulaco as a lone hunter, and moved to flank the Marines. The entire memory is a blur but through at least ten minutes of constant charges, communication, watching each other's asses and bullets, fire and dodged SADAR rockets, we managed to almost single-handedly force the entire team of 40+ Marines into a retreat with only scant help from the Queen and the rest of the hive. When we rounded up the bodies, the two hunters and I realized we killed at least twenty Marines almost single-handedly, and those were just the bodies that couldn't be saved.

As a ghost, I watched @Halinder as a hunter use clever ventcrawling to worm his way throughout the Sulaco and murder the entire medical staff, command staff, engineering, cargo, a bunch of Marines and almost single-handedly won a Xeno major before being killed by the entire Marine team that went back to the Sulaco to kill him and paving the way for a Xeno assault. He did it all without weeds, too.

Probably a terrible thing to say but if you'd cut off both arms and the right leg it'd put him very close to the revive threshold, though that's without applying any medicine, slap a few kits on(which you should anyways for the bleeding) and you could probably save a limb or two. At the very least it would have taken far fewer defib charges. Keeping the soldier out of action for a while in exchange for saving supplies.

Field amputation is an often neglected option for saving the very dead especially if the damage were more focused on an arm or something.

I once took advantage of an enemy crusher having his help intent on as well as mine to sandwich him between me with a shotgun, another marine with a shotgun, and a smartgunner right behind the shotgun marine on the opposite side, inside the maintainence vents of the Almayer.

I died, but it was glorious.

had a run in with some preds in a round a day ago, ended up being beaten in my first duel, but was allowed to be defibbed for how well I did, then came back to get some revenge and ended up fighting a completely different pred that cut me hands off, so I tried kickin' em, then decided to just walk back to the FOB and get replacement bits n bobs, predator got its scythe stuck in me though so it dragged me off as I got back to the FOB and attracted a bunch of marines that kept shooting at me as it dragged me around, I was too busy laughing at my own misfortune to try running away, I didn't have hands to do anything ayways, probably spent 5 minutes being dragged around and getting FF'd by marines before the pred let me go and I finished my walk back to the FOB without meds or falling into crit. Got back to the Almayer alive, got replacement limbs and went planetside, ended up leading a push on the last 4 xenos and killed a rav, queen, spitter and hunter while preds watched us do the whole thing.

It was the end of a round, we were captured and dragged into the DS and waiting to pop out larva. A whole bunch of us all webbed up on the flooring. Playing as a medic I could see folks were not in a great way, finally my resist came through and I got up, unslung my Smg and got some round into a runner before it woke up, eventually dodging it's pounce and killing it. Only for two more to show up.

I released another few folks, some SSD and one got up, dumped a few rounds into one runner, then got knocked down by him. Processed to yakity sax around the DS picking up my Smg, killing the second one, and then after getting slashed a bunch hammered the third one with a pulse rifle I picked up from some poor dead deltard.

Last runner died and I was able to take two steps before falling down in crit, screaming for the one active marine to th for the pods and save themelsves. Round ended shortly there after.

After waiting 20 minutes to get a new hand in medbay, my second new hand of the round, I came back to the prison regrouped with 2 squadies and went on a bug hunt. After walking all the way west from LZ1 we encountered some eggs. One marine got crabbed and while he was down the queen attacked. The other marine and I killed the queen and when it went crit I got tunnel vision and walked into an egg. I was infected and in pain crit and across the entire station from evac. So we set out along the way succumbing to pain crit and taking turns dragging each other as my hands malfunctioned the whole time. At one point we were both down and I went from black out to on my feet. I dragged the non infected marine, we lost the infected marine on the way. We got jumped by a spitter and I got knocked down three times before I sidestepped a spit and managed to grab my rifle and scare it off. I was able to drag us to about half way before my legs gave out a final time. After waiting on the floor a few minutes more marines showed up and got us to the LZ. I was able to get surgery at the last second.

Its been a long time since I lived up to my nickname Survivor in such a spectacular way. I ended getting a heavy pulse rifle from Req and killing another queen with two freelancers on my return to the station as icing on the cake.
