Re: The most robust thing you've ever done
Me and a critically injured SO were in engineering on a boarded ayylmayer, all marines were at the CIC.
Thanks to my gyro HPR, I killed three runners while dragging him back to the CIC, neither of us getting injured and we even managed to scare off a crusher.
CiC was assaulted and all that was left was me and a Doc. Gave him my pistol with an AP mag and tried to fight. I was tackle spammed and stomped by a crusher and the doc was caught and killed trying to flush himself via disposals.

Happened last week, killed the Queen in a 1v1 in a maintenance hallway on the Almayer. I was high as hell before that

Changing the whole round getting 9 kills with the RPG, all T3s, I also stunned the Elite Queen to other marines just finish her off.
We won that round, and I didn't got any medals :c

Re: The most robust thing you've ever done
My most robust shit so far :
Prison Map
Find an Alpha getting captured, going to help with Wolf. (Location, N-W of Yard)
We get neuro spam.
Captured, but not infected.
Broke free first, got recaptured and sent all the way back to the Civilian Residences.
Renested + infected.
Breaking free. Having to knife 15 layers of resin walls. Find back my helmet, LT sees my cam back and tell me "Spec, you better need a gun". Bwahaha, still got my trusty pulse rifle on my exosuit slot, I lost my scoped rifle, mah 88 mod, but not my pulse rifle.
"LT, I'll die.
- Where are you going then ?
- To find glory before."
At that very moment, I just decided to rush East, praying to find aliens on the way out. A runner tried to ambush me, I robusted him. Found a spitter recovering ? Shot at him, he spits back ? I empty my mag on him. I finally manage to reach LZ1. I grab a stasis bag and put myself in there. Then, getting saved my a cool surgeon.
____________
Then, Almayer got boarded, robusted 1 elite hunter and participated in the killing of the last queen.
____________
This round was the focus of so much lucky and heroism, I'll have shitty rounds for 15 years now. But hey, that worthed it.

Injected myself with random serum as CMO, became telepathic. Waved around knives and machetes at xenos.

Re: The most robust thing you've ever done
Big Red, Tcomms breached. Saw Queen in Tcomms room, took out M15 Fragmentation Grenade (first time actually using it), M41A in another hand. Queen came out to screech, I didn't fall, activate nade. Lag kicked in, kept clicking where Queen was, nothing happened for few seconds, I don't even know if I really threw it. The explosion happened when Queen was retreating back to Tcomms room, a boiler was also caught in the blast. I switched to M41A to shoot, Queen got up, few more shots, Queen down again, Crasher came to drag Queen, Queen down for good. Kept shooting Crusher, it backed away, I then dragged Queen body out of Tcomms room.
Turned out it was an Elite Empress.

Re: The most robust thing you've ever done
A week ago when Prison was being rolled out, I was an SL. We were falling back, and I get captured. For some reason the nest was really bad, and I managed to break out with some coordination with two other Marines. I still have my pulse rifle mag harnessed, so I manage to kill three xenos some how. I fight off a runner while putting the nested Marines out of their misery, and call my SO.
"Lieutenant, it's been a pleasure serving."
"Henry, you're alive?"
"Not for long. Fire the coordinates when you get em'."
I set an orbital beacon, and less then a second later I'm a ghost with just a brain. My only successful hive breakout.

Re: The most robust thing you've ever done
CLF Engineers and Marines had a stand off and they escaped just after we recieved orders to kill them. We find the three at the frontlines at the bridge chokepoint they built. We surround them and open up. I shotgun one, step forward and blast another in the face, decapitate the first one with my bayonet on my shotguns, and blast the second one down again. The two survivors get healed and interrogated.

Re: The most robust thing you've ever done
Had one of my best SL rounds last night. I had my squad coordinated, talking with each other, and we were pushing with a ton of momentum in to the caves. I was lazing targets and CAS was killing Xeno's left right and centre, and we had just gotten past the Cargo containers when one of the SO's offset an OB's coords to land right on top of me and about 8 other marines. We lost all momentum and the Xeno's pushed us back across the river.

This doesnt sound robust and most important action in the story was not done by you.RobBrown4PM wrote: ↑30 Dec 2017, 14:05Had one of my best SL rounds last night. Well, coordinating and leading your squad while pushing back the enemy in waves is pretty robust IMO, especially when all 3 come together so well in a single round. This, I felt, was one of my best SL rounds yet. Not sure why I'm getting crapped on for this.

I meant the second part of the story as it felt to be the main part of the story and you leading squad is just a setup=) just kidding anywayRobBrown4PM wrote: ↑30 Dec 2017, 19:41Well, coordinating and leading your squad while pushing back the enemy in waves is pretty robust IMO, especially when all 3 come together so well in a single round. Well I managed to beat a sentinel to death using a crowbar only as a survivor. Happened in a round a night ago.

Re: The most robust thing you've ever done
So a while back I was a PMC Officer sent during a match where the xenos were on the Almayer.
I led my squad around, proceeded to, as a group, kill two xenos lower deck and then attack upper deck and shortly retreat after killing three more xenos. At this point I decided to regroup my squad south medical and make a charge for the besieged Self Destruct. I led my men through engineering and we killed around six(?) xenos T2 and above. The push was well done and my PMC squad only lost around four(?) of its ten men total by this point I believe. Not only that but we linked up with the SD defense and even pushed the xenos into the hallways north and south of engineering upper. I later coordinated the defence of Self Destruct and we melted the Elite Empress under a hail of gunfire (Queen stuck around in the open for two seconds tops and promptly was melted under a hail of five marines and myself firing rifles.). All in all the SD was successful and we killed around 3/4s of the hive.
Usually we ERTs just go and die. Felt good especially as I had been a SL earlier who died early.

I boot knifed the queen and a hivelord at the same time to death on ice colony, managed to escape from xenos, hid in a disposal bin, crusher walks in a moment later, in my haste I forgot to turn off the pump, died and was never found again.

That's great. Reminds me of the time I jumped into a disposal to get away from a hunter on the Almayer only to realize...its on and I'm in for a painful ride.TheMusician321 wrote: ↑31 Dec 2017, 14:07I boot knifed the queen and a hivelord at the same time to death on ice colony, managed to escape from xenos, hid in a disposal bin, crusher walks in a moment later, in my haste I forgot to turn off the pump, died and was never found again.

Re: The most robust thing you've ever done
Come on people, start being robust again!
I joined 59 minutes into an infection round on LV 624, drop, and go towards the medbay where all the fighting's about to start. The zombos start coming in until they overrun the medbay and we have to retreat back to the nexus. During this time a zombie wails on me once I press the hotkey toggle on accident and fiddle around trying to shoot. I do manage to shoot but I instead nail a Deltard (sorry Justin) square in the chest with slugs, and I never saw them for the rest of the round after that. Surprisingly I'm not infected, my armor absorbed all the blows. While running back to the Nexus I get hit by a colonist zombie and it goes right through my armor and cuts me. I'm worried as fuck but somehow I power through and don't get infected. Fast forward and the Nexus gets overrun, an engineer cuts through the reinforced walls around LZ1 and the survivors escape to meet up at the Tablefort. A pal drags me over and there are quite a few of us but a naked zombie runs over and starts wailing on people. I'm in tons of pain as I've gotten into two or three FF accidents that broke my chest and head so I drop due to pain as soon as I get into the zombie's range. The zombie smacks me up while I scream and I immediately fall unconscious. I think this is it and that I will finally be infected, I get dumped on the side of the river by the other survivors and once I awake I'm told that I was infected and left to turn. 10 minutes or so pass and I'm not exhibiting any signs of infection, a zombie comes by though and hits me once, finally infecting me. A bit too late though, another zombie comes by and starts to kill me while I scream on the radio for help.
Here's a link to a pic of me being dead on the side of a river: https://imgur.com/ivIgYOl
I know that I didn't do anything combat robust related or anything but it amazed me that I managed to not get infected after getting wailed on by zombies at least three times, the last time probably having the most chance of infecting me.

Phillip Driver, jack of all trades, reliable in some. Your typical jumpy flamer PFC or ammo fumbling CPL, always has a pair of ballistic goggles on him for unknown reasons. Will probably die mid sentence, because he talks (and gets bullied) too much for his own good. He has his moments though.
Jim, a Gen 2 Synthetic. Has a tendency to get melted to bits when planet side, and that's when he's behind barricades. Despite that, he's vigilant and always ready to drag you out of danger, even if it damages him in the process.

i charged into the crashed drop ship with a rifle but no armor or uniform on and the ooc chat after the round were having a great laugh honoring the "pajama marine", but it wasnt purely an act of bravery like they thought, there just wasnt any equipment left in the lockers and the DS crash had crushed the apcs and disabled the vendors, i couldnt have suited up in a timely manner even if i had tried
