One time as MP back in the days of the Sulaco, I decided, hm...im going to try the whole hotkey warrior thing. Wasn't used to shit seeing as how I played the ol'faithful mouse'n'key for many years. To top off the whole uncomfortably with hotkey mode, I picked up a MK221 with a bayonet on it....completely forgetting UGL gets taken off.

Aliens invade, James Alfonse is infront of me, I go for a GL on a ravager, BOOM buckshot crit James, panic, and gets UGL FFd in a ironic form of karma to death 2 minutes later.

two incidents in the same round, I was doing my usual joke of hitting on all the girls with cheesy pick up lines, well this time I was a SADAR spec and was holding my gyro'd barrel charged M4 with AP and Kyomi disarmed me, causing the gun to go off and fire a shot right into some poor dude's face, a couple hours after that I loaded AT and fired at a ravager only for it to suddenly turn and hit some other poor guy in the chest killing him instantly.

Just a couple days ago I was an engi on big red. Helped set up a glorious fortress with pillboxes and outer sand/table/rack defenses, helped the SL keep the squad coherent, got injured people to the medics, generally spent my whole round trying to help my marine brothers in any way I could. SL said to push into medbay, so I walked a few steps down into it. About 6-7 marines were following me. Out of the dark, a hunter pounces me. Standing around me in a circle, EVERYONE unloads there weapons "on the hunter", about 15-20 bullets fired, maybe 2-3 hit the hunter. The xeno didn't even get critted and I died on the ground before I could even stand up from the pounce.

I too had to walk away from the keyboard after that one.

I once saw 4 marines standing front to back in a line as the xenos landed in the hangar. All 4 marines were on help intent. The one in front began firing, however because they were all on help intent, they began changing positions and each tried to open fire while in the front...

All 4 ended up dying to each other's friendly fire because none of them had the wherewithall to 1) toggle away from help intent, 2) step out of the congo line, 3) toggle off burst fire, or 4) not shoot when they had to have known they were going to get shifted (As this hilarious chain of FF happened for a good 10 seconds as they would curse out the other guys when they got shot but didn't move out of the line).

I still can't believe people fight with help intent on, and then take the time to yell at the person for shuffling them and telling them to stop, instead of yknow, switching your intent so you can't be shuffled?

When I was even baldier, I read that I should change from help intent. I thought it will solve all my problems until baldies started to push me into xenos, acid clouds, huggers and similars.

My most embarassing FF was one of the worst FF's you could do... A fuck up of an OB throw as SL during Ice Colony. Background was LZ FOB was fighting a losing battle and me fresh in the morning first round Delta SL go in and join the fighting. We got pushed back to the final defences but had a few marines standing. I go for an OB and ask the BO to fire it as things were getting desperate. -Throws OB- OB bounces off the wall near me and back onto where i was standing. Place I aimed to throw at this point was dark as fuck and I did not notice the critical error I had made. Suddenly BOOM everyone in the LZ FOB dies.

95% my fault 5% the BOs but I watched my BO get bullied by his peers, cuffed, beaten and had a gun pointed at his head by another BO for the loss of life. Did not play SL for almost a month due to the shame.
