I think the HOS has more potential to do good rather than take away from MPs. At worst you'll get a overbearing WO but that would occasionally happen with normal MPs or Command staff.
I got dissapointed I couldn't burn that photo, also I heard people getting drunk again and was about to go up and smack some heads with stun batons but then that prisoner started stabbing my MP and the little flicker of "KILL" ticked in my brain and I decided to let it slide.

Anyways I think WO is a great role, IF they are competant and have MPs that listen to them.

I am manning up! It's just taking fucking longer than usual!
You will never be as bad as the baldie who picked up a tactical shotgun while a hunter was pouncing on top of a CMO for 4 seconds, with his only response being to pace around before being decap'd by said hunter. You are not Brett Kimple, and you never will be. You are not the reason why I regular MP.

Warrant Officers in the Military are on a completely separate rank hierarchy than PrIvates/NCO's (Enlisted/Non Commisioned Officers) and Officers (Commisioned). They're pretty rare, generally for high ranking NCO's with a speciality, like a Pilot. They don't fuck with nobody, really. Just do their job and are like an Enigma.

The most important thing here is that they shouldn't call it a Warrant Officer when it's a Lieutenant.

By lore, EVERYONE is a Marine. The USCM is self-sustainable and acts as both actual marines and a navy for the united americas.

On topic, the WO is handy to have because command can actually focus on the battle groundside instead of dealing with the random stuff that comes up on the Almayer

One thing I've noticed about WO is random chuckleheads and pranksters who would maybe taunt or challenge an MP, tend to be more respectful and polite around the WO, like he has a slightly stern aura.

Carson being himself is only preventable by mutiny, but unfortunately you have to wait for him to do something worthyof mutiny before you can.
I remember when Carson used to send a squad to their inevitable in the ice caves every single round. I had the unfortunate job of being the only bridge officer half the time and having to relay his orders. Marines have evidently not heard the phrase, "Don't shoot the messenger."
"I don't remember shooting that man in the back, but I probably did." - Blue Leonard, terrible marine.

"The Moon Worm cometh." - Red Mendel, moon cultist.

Welcome to any command role.

Where people generally say things to you they wouldn't IRL, for little reason other than they know you'll be unable to do anything about it, either due a lack of MPs or the fact marines are pretty much untouchable once they're on the colony.

Personally, when you get a competent WO which works with command (rather than goes WO), it's a god-send, and you can do neat things (like set up a small brig outpost at FOB, to detain marines at a moments notice.

I've always treated the military police as Gestapo-like figures when I've been the commander. It's unfortunate to see them fall under the control of a Head of Security.

I've started marking people that talk shit to me as WO or any of my MPs as Paroled. Which I call persons of interest since I can assume they will be problem at some point. I normally don't pursue people onto thew planet I normally like to say we know where they live and its only a matter of time before they have to come back.

Its always fun to see Private McBaldie give their tactical advice to the CO on the general comms channel like they have a say in the mission. Bonus points when they insult the CO and are surprised when the MPs show up.
Bran Jast. Over worked Bridge officer, uncaring MP, injured Marine. Shrug. Now without Robot Arm!
