I just tested it out on Big Red, walked over the water a few times, nearly on all tiles, i was fine and nothing happened to me, even by the round end.jusa297 wrote:Yes it is.

Re: Random Toxic Damage
It could be me but I don't think it's the water that's radioactive -- last I saw there was a grid of uranium walls near the pools, which would account for radiation, along with not being irradiated if you happen to be lucky enough to walk through while they're not "pinging"

Expect they would ping faster than you would finish the walk from one side to another, and i was still preety much fine, hell i even went again to make sure, still nope.Casgair wrote:It could be me but I don't think it's the water that's radioactive -- last I saw there was a grid of uranium walls near the pools, which would account for radiation, along with not being irradiated if you happen to be lucky enough to walk through while they're not "pinging"

Re: Random Toxic Damage
do the infected scratches you get from being attacked by alien give toxin damage? it even made me start having a fever once

Couldn't say for sure, but I wouldn't count out the map being changed to cut down on the "omg y m i getting tox damage" ahelps.MrJJJ wrote:Expect they would ping faster than you would finish the walk from one side to another, and i was still preety much fine, hell i even went again to make sure, still nope.
Alien scratches aren't infected, this is part of baycode. Any injury that's left untreated for awhile can/will become infected, which will give you a fever + toxin damage after awhile. You can treat it by using ointment on the infected area, or more commonly by taking antibodies (spaceacillin). Some folks don't notice this because injuries in CM tend to cause bleeding, which will kill you much faster untreated than infection will.misto wrote:do the infected scratches you get from being attacked by alien give toxin damage? it even made me start having a fever once

Re: Random Toxic Damage
spaceacillin does not cure limb infections
limb infections have to be treated the way you'd regularly treat that limb, ie if the limb was burned then ointment removes the infection, if it was bruted then gauze does

Re: Random Toxic Damage
Idk if related but sometimes if I survive long enough I start getting some random toxin damage, even though I'm apparently fine on the medbay scanners

Re: Random Toxic Damage
Most likely tox damage from low blood level, that or infected wounds. Closing.
