Alright for the first one I'd grab the CMP on his channel and tell him/her "The crew can't sustain such harsh punishment at this time. Put down all they have done in their logs. The two doctors will get fifteen minutes for distribution. I'm willing to believe they tried to run, but you didn't say they assaulted any of your MP's or yourself. The CMO is the big problem here, but you can't outright kill him/her. Using anesthetic to knock out a guard isn't assault with a deadly weapon, it's just assault. You can't OD on anesthetic and die of Toxin damage. The CMO will get ten minutes for insubordination, ten minutes for resisting arrest, fifteen minutes for drug distribution, and ten minutes for assualt, bringing the total to forty-five minutes. Let him/her out on good behavior at your discretion, or keep him/her in the brig for the entire duration. Also, to compromise the sentencing I will be removing the CMO's access to the chemicals. He/she can still make requests for them to be made, but he/she won't be allowed to make them her/him-self. Carry out the sentencing immediately, we have more wounded incoming. Thank you." The law, is the law. Can't argue there. Your parameters are specific to some extent, but vague in other ways. You said two doctors, so there could be more. I'd have to inform each SL that a third of the active Medic personnel need to remain on Almayer to stabilize patients who come in and keep them stable whilst we await the sentences of the medical personnel. Don't know if a Medical ERT is a thing now with all the new stuff, hehe. But the CMP was justified, the CMO had no authority and at the end of the day the blame will lie with my orders, but execution was a bit much.Josephs477 wrote:Switch me to a +1... answer these questions!
The CMP is arresting the CMO and two Doctors for distribution of unauthorized Chemicals, specifically Bicaridine and KeloDerm and further they resisted arrest when confronted by the MPs, with the CMO using anaestheic on an MP. The op has been going on for some time, and the Marines are getting hit hard. The Medics are yelling in comms about how the CMO has asked for permission but you, as Commander, either denied it OR you simply missed the CMO's request. There are lots of wounded Marines in Medbay and with these arrests the crew grows angry and whispers of a mutiny are growing. The CMP has called for the max sentence... 60 minutes... for the Doctors. He is requesting the CMO be executed for attempted Murder. What do you do, Commander?
Final one - The RO states that they will require paperwork from EVERY Marine that is assigned an attachment to ensure they are returned post operation. He states over comms he is going to distribute enough pens and paperwork for the Marines, but he is not budging on his requirement. Within moments the Marines begin rioting, breaking windows, and the RO shuts down once the windows are broken. What do you do, Commander?
Final one - I have actually experienced a situation similar to this one before, playing as XO Jay Roberts. I'd handle this one in much the same way as the last. I'd go down there. Order him to open those windows and start distributing them without paperwork. If he refused I'd tell him this is a direct order. If he refused I'd threaten him with time in the brig. If he refused I'd have a MP come in and brief the CMP on what was happening. If he refused still I'd tell him he is about to be put in the brig for ten minutes for disorderly conduct, ten minutes for insubordination, and ten minutes for neglect of duty, bringing his total time to thirty minutes. If he refused I'd have MP make the arrest and tell CMP to get it logged. If he resisted, I'd have it added. If the Cargo Technicians aided in the RO's resistance, I'd have them sentenced accordingly. Then I'd tell any CT that was left to start distributing without paperwork. If they refused, same as above. And if the whole of Cargonia was resilient to the bitter end, the XO and I would get the attachments out ourselves so the briefing can be filled with calm listeners. Calm being a relative description. In my case the RO took one look at the MP standing next to me after I said he was about to be put under arrest and began giving out attachments. So the situation did not get more severe. As an addition to the above, all the marines who broke stuff outside of Cargo would get fifteen minutes themselves. I'm not their fairy-godfather granting attachment wishes to their UNGA BUNGA attitudes. And the mutiny would be less of a real threat now that the attachments were going out.
