Is that actually stated on Marine Law? I'm not trying to argue, but it seems the majority of MPs tend to enforce Marine Law word for word 100% of the time.apophis775 wrote:The MPs have to WARN them first. They can't just carry them off.

Re: SO load out
well, they warned the SO's they were coming to arrest them, 30 seconds before showing up, the SO's were busy on overwatch duty and were immediatly inspected, cuffed, and dragged off without warning, i didn't even know i was arrested till i was dragged from my console, cuffed, and given a 30 minute sentence after only joining 10 minutes before i was arrested.apophis775 wrote:The MPs have to WARN them first. Re: SO load out
Agreed, instead of spawning the officers in with their "unauthorized equipment" simply put it into a CIC locker like the Alpha Sulaco bridge did, is much easier and causes less head aches, I simply feel the marine law needs a whole redoing, it is too hard core for people- frankly I'd say it's too high roleplay, for a server classified as Medium RP, I would simply add SO"s to the amount of men allowed to carry weaponry code green, and remove the Insultation of superior law, or atleast make it non-stackable, it's frankly dumb and should not be a thing ( perhaps on Baystation's Torch), but certainly not here.BrandonSacawv wrote:While this is true, isn't it counter-intuitive to spawn people with things they aren't allowed to possess by Marine Law? As I said above, there is no requirement for a warning to be given. An MP could stroll into the CIC and take all the SOs away five minutes into the game if they wanted to and it would be completely justified. Why not simply allow SOs to carry their firearms on all levels or put the firearms in some sort of CIC gun locker or something?

Re: SO load out
I've done the last adjustment I will do for this.
I've adjusted it so that MPs have a minimum punishment of "warning" and confiscation of the weapon.
If you don't want the gun taken away, put it into a locker. I mean, at roundstart you start in the officers barracks and have a load of places to deposit it.
