Long story short, a guy was holding the commander at gunpoint, and I wasn't as well aware of that as I should have been, I was an MP.

I popped around the corner and tried to baton the guy, and misclicked and hit myself right beside him.
He stopped, did a golfclap, then went to pick up my baton as a Specialist.
He got stunned too.
All I could do, in an attempt to maintain my dignity, was just stammer "J-j-j-just as planned!" when he fell over beside me, and the commander picked his gun up and shot him.

I got an award for outsmarting him or whatever from the Commander, but secretly knew I was a total heel.

Mastering intent switching is another obstacle in the long obstacle course that is becoming robust.

The first time I ever played CM for longer than 2 minutes, I was brandy spankin' new and just hit the planet. M41A in hand, two mags in my pocket and still wearing my underwear under my armor, I prepared to fight the alien threat. I was on harm intent (because alans) and I accidentally right clicked something a fair bit out so I had the bright idea to click on myself to get rid of the box instead of shooting anywhere.

Alright... so... one time, and this was back in the Sulacos time. One time I went off on my own in the nexus, into the kitchen right? I was then found by one runner, who I shotgun buckshot. I tried dodging it, but slipped on a banana. So uh.... yeah, I died there. Via banana.

I was a medic trying to pull some dude a predator had just killed back to safety to defib him. Pred wasn't happy with this so he stunned a group of us a few times. I felt like I had a solid chance to take the pred out because of how easy he was going on us so naturally I whip out my shotty and go over to try and give him the business.

I really do think I had a genuine chance to kill that predator but o boy is it an embarrassment that I fucked it up so hard. If I hadn't scored 1's on all my dice rolls for my attempts I totally could have Cuckshot that guy into the great beyond. But I was unrobust as fuck.

It took me awhile to realize priming a grenade automatically set it to throw. Usually I primed, pressed R, wondered why it didn't throw, panic, press R again and then throw it to a terrible spot because of said panic.
