Shyshadow, I'm not even providing attitude. Hes going off about a small gimmick i wanted to try for Roleplay. Although stupid I wasn't fucking up with anyone and he didn't even need to go there if he didn't want to do it. I don't know why me telling him that he's going a bit over the fence pushes you but if you think that telling someone They're comparing something to real-life when our game is no where near it makes you think I shouldn't be pred then damn man. I guess -1 then but really... That gets your eye opening about my response and not his?

Look, I'm going to tell you right now what you are going to come across as a predator, listen closely.

Predator life... Isn't as exciting as you think.

The average game of a predator consists of a group of hunters gearing up, setting up camp, and then spending the rest of the round wandering around looking for something worth fighting. Some hunts go really well, with nice big T3 trophies and spooked marines aplenty, but other times you'll go for what feels like hours just wandering about, struggling to find anything worth hunting, let alone spooking. It can get a bit dull at times, just like real hunting.

And also like real hunting, you need a lot of self control and patience. You can't just hunt the first xeno you see, nor do you go out of your way to charge at a group of marines to kill their NCO. A good hunt requires a lot of waiting, observing, planning... Stuff that no doubt will bore some people to tears.

You give me the impression of someone who, if they got predator, would get bored after awhile. If you can't RP while still behaving as a properly drilled marine would, how can we trust you in a role that requires INCREDIBLE discipline? We can't have predators running around meming it up because they got tired of the same ol' same ol, after all..

This is the reason why it is so hard to get predator in the first place. A lot of people, as you no doubt saw, struggle to prove that they could be predator material. It is a role of maturity, discipline, self-control, and most importantly patience. Most players here lack it, their memes or desire to win more important to them over being a stable, proper trooper.

I'm not saying that you are a horrible RPer or anything like that, but like I said, you give me the impression that you wouldn't be able to handle the life of a predator without at some point giving into your desires to do dumb things for fun.

To know is one thing, to experience is another.

I'm not going to vote up or down, but I am going to ask that, if you want to do some RP that is a bit out of the ordinary, you take a moment to think "What role would be best for this kind of roleplay?".

Just doing something because you thought it would be fun despite how inappropriate it would be for your role is something you should avoid. An MT, for instance, can do a number of things to branch out and create RP, as can an SO. But doing something like hosting a pizza party as an XO who thinks like a clown is quite frowned upon, because it would be considered poor RP.

Remember, this isn't vanilla SS13, a lot of gimmicks aren't viable or fitting here compared to in vanilla.

Roleplay ceases being roleplay if there is no reason for it. It becomes fucking around and contributing nothing. I'll give you two points out of five for attempting to deflect the questioning. One for trying, and the other for trying to make Reno doubt themselves. You missed the entire point of deflecting which is to non-conspicuously avoid answering a question. So, in the end, you start to look like a dick.

This is both passive aggressive and hostile. I know you might not mean to come off rude or anything but a lot of your comments come off as passive aggressive. You can defend yourself, but it just seems to me that you're angry that people aren't liking your app, and instead of taking the responsibility and saying it might be time to rethink your app you blame the readers.

This, to me, is immature.

A cause for roleplay that is incredibly out of universe does naught but ruin immersion, tbh.

Besides, there is already a cause for roleplay, with mechanics to back it up; the aliens. The aliens' mere existence causes a reaction from the marines, something RP-wise comes from that reaction. Then the marines make a choice, the aliens react to that and the cycle continues.

By this same argument I could just get shitfaced as an SL and not do my job, and my drunkenness would be creating a situation, yes, but not one relevant to the plot, and one that is certainly not conducive to a fun game or good roleplay.

That doesn't mean I'll 1+ your app, but I do wish you the best of luck. To get an extension on your app and avoid being denied after this long is something not many are lucky to get. If by any chance you succeed and join our ranks, WHATEVER you do.. Don't fuck up.

To be a predator is a great honor (at least to me), and while it may not be the most glorious of professions, there is a certain joy in being able to create interesting scenarios.. Provided you have some creativity, anyways. You'll learn that as you play it.

I quite know Nyxia from RP stand point and is an oldie themselves well old player, also enjoy the RP interactions with good old Balto. I reckon I wouldn't mind hunting along side with or see how they do. More likely becoming Pred can possible improve for instance being predator there is a high amount of patience being waiting for perfect prey to hunt or perhaps stalking for quite some time before they are in out of the open. Though, us predators have a high standards, as you know our Code of honor aswell has been a bit more updated so do trend careful. I trust you can manage or atleast try at most. I am giving yah a +1

Your application is kind of short, but I've seen Nyxia ingame and know she's a decent character, and that you're not a half bad roleplayer.

Except I don't really like your responses to the questions in this thread. That's already been addressed, and I don't know if you'll do other strange gimmicks like setting up complaint booths in the FOB.

Still, you can't innovate without experimentation. I don't think I can support this, but I wouldn't mind seeing you with us after some improvement.

You've got Feweh himself to pause and think about this, you can easily join our ranks, if you can just meet all of our standards.

im new here but im going to be blunt and honest, i seen alot of complaining about grammar and her play styles, honestly who cares about how her grammar was on the post it wont effect her game play, and if her play style seems crazy and wont work then so what as long as she playing by the honor code then who cares how she plays. All that matters is how she plays it and i hope when im able to apply for playing as a predator i can have the honor in playing beside her and watching her play
