Could someone please explain why it makes no sense for a ruthless killing machine to try to kill or impregnate anything they see? The whole concept of xeno role play kinda makes me laugh. They kill or capture anything that isnt xeno... i would expect every single xeno that isnt part of the hive building to attack a pred
A lot of xenos do, some don't. Most of it ties into -as mentioned before- xenos spending a long time growing and evolving, and not wanting all of that time to go to waste throwing their lives away against an enemy most of them stand little chance of beating.
Eden Somme - Marine
Aija Sigara - Predator

Well xenos aren't mindless and have a sense of self preservation. In the movie aliens there are two big instances of this, the first being when they realize charging mindlessly into turrets is futile and they stop attacking to regroup. The second is when Ridley threatens the queens eggs and larva with an incinerator, the queen calls off the hive. If something threatens the very hive xenos will back off and rethink what they're doing. That said, I'm still a big advocate of marines and xenos being hostile to preds 90% of the time.

Personally I don't shoot first and wait to see what they do, RP a bit, yadda yadda.

If I see them stab my buddy up I'm gonna do my gosh-darned best to ruin their day though.

I enjoy a good opportunity to RP with a Pred as a marine. I can trust that, as a role that needs to be whitelisted under heavy scruntization, the pred will be a good RPer and would respond to our presence in a meaningful manner.
"Huh, would you look at that... We are screwed yet again."
Plays as Phil "Termite" Smith

You can give a smartgun to every marine, and they would still find a way to FF with it.
