I guess my only problem I'm really feeling right now with our current endgame is the whole "Not enough threat detected" crap.
DS-1 just smashed into the RO and a ton of lizards are flooding into every part of the ship. I think that's enough of a threat to get the civilians off the boat don't you think?
Maybe the "not enough treat" system should only be tied to the SD and not the evac pods? Or maybe the numbers in the system adjusted a little in some way? Far to often CIC will get destroyed before evac or SD can be started because either the xenos meta it or just happen to crash near it on the top deck. Once that happens marines can kinda lose their way and just end up fighting disorganized till they die out, or end up having their last stand in a SD room that isn't even active and that just feels dumb.

Chen "DiscoKing" Westinton Proud recipient of the "Realest Nigga on the Bloc" Award. My Dossier, it's good. Trust me. Read it.
Secondary Objective: Stay Safe, Stick Together, Kick the ass of anything that might need an ass kicking. If you find any booze bring it up to CIC for me please.
Not everyone who lost their life on Space Nam' died there. Not everyone who came home from Space Nam' ever left there.

The thing that doesnt make sense to me is that the amount of pods doesnt fit the whole crew of the ship, marines included. What would happen if the ship got attacked? You would think after the titanic that people would have learned to put enough lifeboats/escape pods on a ship.

Same reason in the movie there's like only 20 people aboard the entire sulaco. Confidence in technology makes people stupidTehSpoderman wrote: ↑15 Nov 2017, 15:36The thing that doesnt make sense to me is that the amount of pods doesnt fit the whole crew of the ship, marines included. I would prefer it if there were escape pods available in the SD room as well, so that the people who activate the rods don’t have to die. Maybe have some pods in the back room that are active once the self destruct begins counting down from a minute. See part of the fun of the old game mode was desperately holding off Xenos till the last minute as you tried to escape the ship with your life, and that tension is sadly lost now.

Re: Which endgame is better?
Normally when ERT's show up SD is already activated and the announcement is long gone. The times I was left as the last officer I'd fail to tell the ERT we were holding SD and that they just needed to reach my position. One time since people were talking about SD on the radio I told them SD stood for the Ship Defense system. It's a scummy thing to do but I'm not going to just let help go when we need it the most. I do think if you are an ERT and Self Destruct is not explicitly mentioned during your time on the ship you should continue with your objectives.
I prefer new self destruct to old evac. In all my rounds on the Sully I saw very few successful evacs and several of those ended with xenos on the pods and killing the survivors on the escape shuttle. The rest ended up with maybe one lone survivor that managed to jump pods last second while the other pods got murdered. Evac never seemed to happen because of how little space there was to defend the pods and how often people packed into the pods for the entire time. At least with SD it feels like you have a chance to get it off. You die but you get the satisfaction of pulling it off and taking all the xenos with you.

In a more normal situation you could always use the dropships to evac the marines since they wouldn't be used against you as boarding torpedoes.TehSpoderman wrote: ↑15 Nov 2017, 15:36The thing that doesnt make sense to me is that the amount of pods doesnt fit the whole crew of the ship, marines included. Bran Jast. Over worked Bridge officer, uncaring MP, injured Marine. Shrug. Now without Robot Arm!
