This and only this is the correct opinion. Everything past Aliens is either agnsty larping or some kind of Scientology opera trolling of the memory of the first two films.
Don't get me wrong ive seen them all and enjoyed them all but stylistically and spiritually the series ended after Aliens. There was talk of rebooting the franchise with a true third movie but of course ridley scott pulled a george lucas and started autistically screeching about muh creation myths, muh religion allegories and the rest is history
the good news is like godfather 1 and 2 you can just rewatch alien and aliens until you die. timeless movies
