Easy way to triage :
Light wounds : treatable right now (only burns, brute, or toxins with no repercussions, maybe a 1 simple fracture too) and can lead the marine to get back on the frontline.
Medium wounds : treatable right now, but surgery might be needed to get the marine on a 100% operational basis (basically ? Hairline fractures with a "S", at least 2 fractures).
Severe wounds : Stabilization only, only treatable on the Almayer (arms ripped off, basically).

By priority order :
1 - Dead patients : Defib.
2 - Critical patients (Severe wounds) : Stabilize. (Then, report to wound levels).
3 - Light wounds : treat right now, as long as you are not stabilizing someone already.
4 - Medium wounds : treat and tell the patient he has the choice to stay groundside or head on the Almayer.

Observing :
- If you see a marine got several burns, don't even think twice, just get a tramadol pill right now, give me. Then kelotane. Before he can even whine.
- Keep an eye on the frontline, if it gets too close to you, fall back with the most valuable patient you can get (Spec/SL, Smarty, Engie/Medic, then marine : you can change your priority depending if you know a player to be robust or not, then, prefers to revive a robust marine than a baldie SL for example).

Fighting :
- Gyro shotty buckshot.
- If you are completly alone and vulnerable at your triage center (you're the only one standing and all around you are unable-marines, then, you're doing it wrong. Ask for help/cover, you have a radio.

A lot of my deaths are due to trying to save someone, and I don't know if it's a mistake or just pure instinct that makes me keep doing it again.

I've defiantly gotten zapped many times trying to drag back someone with a Dfib timer going, and been runnered or FF'd just outside the FOB. Its the high tension and drama of the role!

You know, adding a 'fresh out of boot camp' notice on marines who are new to that role could help.

I might do a Git suggestions so a staff member can do that to their helmet or something, just so everyone knows they're -really- new.

I play medic on a regular basis, it can be pretty rewarding buts it's tough and sometimes I wonder whether it's worth saving some people

I think every medic has had to look at the situation and say: Welp, I can try to save this guy, and Die. OR, I can save these four or five folks around me and be on hand for later. Also, this is what PFC's are for sometimes, Send one of them. If they make it, great. If not, you can probably fix him afterwards.
