Joined during the Halloween Event where we played on that map for a few weeks. I thought that was the only map and was very shocked when we switched back to LV.

It was back on Sulaco, barely knew how to play SS13 and ended up in the Cafeteria, I asked some people where should I go or what was going on but nobody helped me. Naked, defenseless and confused I managed to get down a ladder just for some guys to scream "RUN AWAY!" then I died to some friendly fire, exited the game and didn't come back until last year. ><

When I first joined, I was somewhat 'scared' of playing marine side after long hiatus from SS13 in general so I just played xeno, drone and I played about extra 10 xeno rounds before I tried marine for the first time.
The only thing i was scared the first time i played was from being banned ;-;

My first round was me being a Delta marine on Ice. Didn't remember to bring coif, and I ahelp a lot about the radio headset not working. When I finally deployed, I was ff by some random dude for some reason (there wasn't enemy there I think) and was freezing in my boots. I got sent up to medbay and recovered nicely, and then xeno got up and rekt us all.

I'd say I spent half an hour gearing up on my first round. I didn't really know what I wanted, but soon enough it didn't matter when I misclicked and shanked myself with the Night Raider.
I play as Robert 'Scotch' MacMillan.
And Anton. Don't forget about Anton.

I remember space lube at Nexus. Hitting myself when clearing weeds. Saying I am Crit to medic. Asking how to fire M41A. The usual baldie shit.

My first round was on Big Red about midway through a map cycle. I had been playing on Paradise and /tg/ for a few weeks and wanted something a little more. I saw a few videos before stepping in so I had an idea of what to expect before jumping in.

I came in about an hour into a match as a regular marine. I had the wiki open on a second monitor and followed everything as it said. Get your gear from a locker, grab a rifle, load a pistol and put it into a satchel. First aid kit, flare pouch, extra flares. Once I was set I hopped in Alamo and rode it down without strapping into a seat. When I got groundside I had no idea what any of the sounds meant in the game, so I stayed in the FOB and didn't bother going out and doing anything. The most exciting thing to happen was shooting a Prae and getting spat on, and subsequently treating myself (which I put a bandage on after applying salve thinking that would help, then injecting the tricord pen). It ended in a marine major after maybe 40 minutes, something I had no part in.

My number one focus was to learn how to play the game and not be a fuckup. I like to think I succeeded in that regard.
