I loot their guns if they have any special attachments, or if they have flamers, and of course ammo.

I don't loot dead, dying or SSD period.

I reckon looting the dead (icly at least) is dishonorable and honestly really fucking rude to the dead guy.

I mean, if I was in their position, I MIGHT pick up a dead man's gun if I immediately needed it, but otherwise I don't touch the dead.
Commander Joseph 'Goliath' Clancy, occaisonal Charlie SL. Widowed father of three. Sufferer of PTSD and extremely Australian.
Corpswoman Judith 'Mèrci' Clancy, quiet, caring daughter looking out for her siblings.
Warrant Officer Emile Clancy, Strict ex-police chief, now a tired CMP.
Xenomorph Queen 'Pandinus' ruler of the Alpha Hive. "I want more children!"

We dont have flares, ammo, meds and some have no weapon. Enemy forces have surrounded us and we are slowly dying, one by one. But we will never touch dead bodies or take their stuff becouse there is no honor in staying alive if you loot dead, and dead even can become upset about how rude it was to take stuff from them, stuff they so much need.

I think during irl fights, the most common thing you can do is to loot dead or even take it from those who can no longer continue fighting, and if someone thinks it was rude, punch him in the face and continue surviving. (Well your ic character can think different of course, but for me it is impossible to roleplay some questinable behavior or illogical one) I loot dead A LOT, even if i am full, i place ammo flares and weapons out of containers on the ground for others to take. Well i dont take anything from injured or those who can be defibbed but once they are beyond the point of no-return, there is nothing that can stop me.
You can find me on the battlefield by the name "Liam Compton"

OSP baby. On site procurement. If I need it and don't have it, I take it until I don't need it. One round I had a fob in the jungle south of LZ1 on LV last for almost two hours against the whole planet's worth of xenos just because we kept looting those who fell and had good req supplies.

I make a point not to take from those who are still using what they have, but on the ground a rifle is a rifle.

I rely on dead marines for my attachments. I skip requisitions most of the time.
