Why is it always bald xenos getting the blame? Marines routinely leave their squads in groups of 2-3 and "track" young runners well after they lose visual contact. Early in the round when the xenos are young marines can absolutely afford to engage in that suicidal "drip feed" behavior, and with half a dozen marine groups on wild goose chases it doesn't take long to see which of the 3 hive spots has weeds around it.

There are smart xenos that lead me in the opposite direction of their Hives, then, disappear in the vents, or use their speed to get on an alternative path and double back out of my sight. And those, I can't track them. Those are the smart ones.

The baldies (or the cunts) are to blame, yes, and only yes. If a runner stays on my sight, or in my motion detector, goddamn, I'll keep following it if I have a hope to kill it (as long as I have proof that it's definetely hostile). If it's hopeless, I'll just resume to my objective, but if I can corner it, I'll have him return as the state of larva or ghost. If he keeps making noises, or opening doors and leaving me tracks to follow, I'll hunt this lad.
Hunting and tracking is not just visual contact, it's also clues and tracks left by your prey. The 2-3 marines tracking the runners are the one that are looking for those clues /tracks.

You have metarushing marines, but most of them are baldies, they are the ones speaking about that they met aliens once, or they went to Hadley's Hope or shit like that.
But most of the USCM playerbase : first, do not want to launch an offensive because they don't have the balls AND/OR secondly they respect the metarushing rule.
The metarushers or rambos mostly wanders off alone, and get killed like dipshits. Only leaving the "normal" marine players in the squads.

As a conclusion, baldies xenos are to blame 9/10 times.

Goddamn, I even got accused of metarushing the labs while I had a motion detector having 8 signals and the 8 xenos were roaring like autists behind the wall, and just before some of my men got ambushed by hunters/sents. Of course it deserved an OB and punitive action.

Make a mistake, be punished. That's this game is about, it's one of the rogue-like multiplayers we like.

If a marine makes a single mistake, he can me removed of the round definetely, of for dozens of minutes (depending on stasis-bag hell and shitshow medbay and/or shitshow POs not evaccing wounded). When you slashy-slash a marine, he can get a fracture that removes 25% of his speed, or gets internal damage while aliens can regen without fearing any perm-trauma.

When an Alien does a huge mistake, punishment occurs (I mean IC punishment, by getting killed and sent back to deadchat eh).
