BFA BC smartgun straight up MURDERS in close quarters. It's especially perfect for the smartgunner on FOB duty to keep those pesky T2's from picking at the barricades. However;

There are people who suggest burstfiring an unmodified smartgun is somehow a bad thing.
Focus on that keyword unmodified and consider that means they think a smartgun with either attachment that reduces burstfire accuracy and effectiveness is somehow better to burstfire than maximum-accuracy unmodified smartgun. That does not make sense

On-topic, didn't we just have an update recently that increased requisition's vendor stock? I've been noticing req has been a bit more generous about giving out attachments at least.

They have. I had 8 barrel chargers the valentine's round, so once the smarties had their pick, I opened it up to privates et al.

Attachment and general vendor stock has been increased across the board (at the cost of M41A incendary ammunition and special ammo for the M4A2). You also get more things like grenade boxes and webbing.

M41A extended magazines are a lot more common in the vendor, you start with an equal number of those and AP magazines.

Barrel chargers to privates is a nightmare for medics. FF is bad enough from standard rifles.

There's almost no reason to deny BCs to PFCs as REQ starts with more. BC makes a huge difference especially when loaded with AP and on burst fire on a M41, guaranteed to melt benos. Hell, not even SLs should use BCs, they're meant to be leading not going guns blazing like a madman.

This' a bad mindset.

In my eyes, if CAS, OBs, or Mortars aren't available/practical to use, the SL should be pushing the line alongside his men, and taking advantage of Issue-Order as it becomes available. He's an element/squad leader, not an overwatch officer. He carries a gun and yells louder than everyone else in his squad, thus he should be carrying (and of course shooting) his gun, and yelling orders.

Seeing my SL fighting usually makes me want to come up alongside him, and get fighting too.

Engis/meds don't need BCs because they should be doing their fucking jobs.

That leaves SGs and Privates*. These are the ones you should be handing BCs to, imo.
*does not apply if the PFC in question is a crewie.

Any baldie can take one of the 4 slots that the whole platoon needs ? Yep, but they won't be able to take one of my BCs.

The BCs, and the good attachments, can be spared in a good amount of it (You can take 2 to 4 QF, and 4 to 6 BCs from the attachments vendors). You just order shitload ot AP, and some good AP boxes.
And start finding the robustos. Then, ask them to have a second robusto, or decent marine. One carry the box. The other cover the carrier. The box refills. And the two will pew pew like badasses.

It works. And it's fun.

Marines do not NEED attachments. When they know how to play WITHOUT attachments, they accept and take profit the attachments BUFFS.
An attachment is not something to prevent you from being a dipshit. It's something making you better when you are already decent, and to suit your playstyle.

As a SL, I prefer the QF EB for its versatility, its pin-point accuracy, ammo conservation and yet ability to suppress or to deal huge amount of damage to T2 and T3 when loaded with AP.
Give me 4 AP mags, one AP box, and my QF EB, I can lead the squad whereever it needs to be led, while supplying my lads with AP (and supplying Xenos with AP).

It'll probably get you killed, but when using BFA and a BC on a smartgun, one burst in close range is going to one-shot most xenos if all shots hit.

M4RA can't take a BC. The HPR can and it can kinda works, not totally sure though. Gun's kinda slow enough as is.

HPR with rds/grip/BC on burst is pretty scary. I've taken marines arms off with it before.
