I’ve actually never heard of a Ravenger before, and a google search turned up nothing. Is there a piece of media where it appears?

No, because it is a parody of the Ravager that the admins use for fun. It is literally a fire-breathing dragon in a sense which is why it will never be added as caste.

I made a suggestion a long time ago for there to be map specific xeno castes. So like in addition to all the monkeys, maybe there was like 2 snakes that spawned on LV-624 that would birth a larva which could only turn into a unique caste of xeno. Maybe it would inflict toxin damage on melee attacks since the snake was poisonous or something, just a neat thought.

Oh, that would fit in with the whole idea of xeno's being extremely adaptable to any environment. Though I suspect a mechanic like that would be a pain to create, and HAS to add to the server as a whole. Still fun to consider.

As for ravengers, they sound memish to me and extremely out of sync with role play. I like the fact that xeno's have acid as their thing.

While I like them, they feel to samey to ravagers.

If they had a sprite overhaul, were actually fixed to work like proper xenos and had some overall fixes mechanic wise then yes. But as they are, no.

As the Ravenger of the round Toroic is talking about, I will give my piece of why I think Ravengers are not a thing:

They are too imbalanced. Experiencing it myself, ravengers have way too power. They can:

-Hold several bursts of bullets and only get to half health
-they fire can make marines roast(unrevivable)
-Has ancient ravager stats
-queen phero literally heal you in 2 seconds to full health
-even with no charge, you move fast enough and have good enough stats bullets won't catch you
-fire goes through most walls

This is absurdly good. way too good.

Not really no, imo. They're event xenos and should stay that way, most of the fun is the fact that they're not available in standard gameplay. Asides from that, xeno FF would be a thing and we'd have to observe the ravenger closely to ensure that it did not actually grief other xenomorphs, which would cause a big strain upon the staff team.

Sure. Put ravengerd as an actual caste. Also remove QF and dual wielding. Also remove AP. Also grant queen almost every t3 perk.

No. For the sake of balance and realism and COMMON SENSE, Ravengers shouldn't be an actual caste.

No. It's just an admin thing and even with proper balancing it still would just cause issues with friendly fire, husking marines, and it would be out of place.

Quite a cool idea,Man. adding ravengers as a caste is gonna be impossible,being too powerful and shit and it being unbalanced.
