Well, it's all up to the marine. Pred will usually run away or hide. If the marine takes the shot and pred gets hit prepare for hell.

Key word is should. They aren’t at the moment. No one wants to interact with a predator as it always means death for at least some of the players. Even if they kill it there’s always one player who can’t run fast enough and gets all his limbs broken in an explosion.

There was a time when Predators took slaves and apprentices and that was actually good RP in my opinion. Predators could speak to actual human players instead of just other pred players and it created unique situations. But then Apop shut that down.

There IS a huge pre-made gladiator arena, complete with holding cells and equipment. You could also dub them worthy enough to take on as a sort of battle-apprentice/battle-slave, which I believe would make RPing with preds MUCH more interesting. If/when I apply for pred, I will put in that I intend to do something like that when I can, saying that I come from a clan that in some way deals with the Hish.

If that's true, why hasn't been any processed predator whitelist removals lately? I doubt it's because people just don't report.

Predators are still able to take slaves, raise human predators and abduct gladiators. That's the whole reason of the cells, the gladiator items and the arena, that hasn't changed.

Well it must have changed recently. I specifically remember me, Jay and Bio talking to Apop about it and him shutting it down. Basically I was talking over slack to Jay saying I had a fun survivor round because he took me as a slave and Apop was on, and asked if this was done often. Of course it was, so we said yeah.

Long story short Apop said it wasn’t allowed and it’s not realistic.

This was a little over a year ago but I doubt he’s changed his mind. You should ask though. I always assumed it’s always been like that since after then because predators no longer took slaves or apprentices, and they still don’t. Rarely they’ll spare a survivor and allow them to live next to the lodge but I’ve not seen any predator do it in a long while.

Yeah, I distinctly remember a forum or discord post by apop saying that slavery/taking humans as a predator wasn't allowed.

Well back then slaves were only used to protect the lodge either way. They never went to the ship. I doubt Apop still wants it done even if the ships designed that way.

Your best bet to get away from a predator hunting you is to book it to the dropship and get out of there, assuming you know icly that the predator wants to kill you specifically.

If the predator is gunning for YOU specifically, it's usually just best to acept death. Playing as a xeno can be quite fun too.
Dying is part of the game, and sometimes you just can't stop yourself from getting killed. It may be unfair, but that's the way things are.
If you're in a duel and really want to survive, the best way is to call for help, book it to the nearest squad and hope they scare the pred off.

Look. It's not that I'm completely oblivious or anything (It totally is) but I am merely mocking the marines by purposefully triggering the mines to show my dominance as I get back up and saunter away.

On a similarly related note. Wearing the heavy clan armour I triggered two mines almost in a row and walked away with "bruising".

If dying upsets you that much, show the predator you give two flying fucks about him 'hunting' you, become the hunter yourself, face him the same way your ancestors faced off sabertooths and mammuts and fight him in a ruthless, fearless manner. That way you have bigger chance of being spared than acting like a coward or a lesser foe.


This doesn't mean you should try to hunt all the times the predator. That will just get you plasma castered, this only works when you're sure you're worthy prey.

Truly, if yer just gonna hunt predators every time like sorta xenos beginning round depending on map will swarm which obviously for xeno makes sense they want a host. With marines, reason why at times we do RP or try not too. We risk RPing with marines at times as for 1. We also trying to survive in this game. 2. Make it a bit different for ourselves and players. 3. Tryin to play as we also is a set role. 4. Just over do it with bunch of Anti-Pred huntin kits on first contact which forces to go out on yah denyin RP experience.
It is fine with the shooty marines who are scared and such but when yah have yer favorite Huntin parties first sight AP is first thing loaded or chuckin throwin knives, Flamers, or bring out explosives we try and avoid dieing our selves. Don't expect us to let you kill us so easily,logically if ye piss off a Gorilla would you be surprised if the gorilla tore off your arms or attempt injuring you for such fuckery?
