If you're standing next to an intercom, using the prefix :i will allow you to talk into it without having to turn the speaker on.
When the OB misfires and xenos are on your doorstep.

Ask for dermaline or kelo flask or pill from medbay if you're a pyro spec, go walk into flames, take a sippy, burn to death.
Regular flames that looks like it has a darker shade are actually welder fuel flames, they're mostly harmless so don't be afraid to step into em.
Green flames can be extinguished in one extinguisher blast, fire away, if you extinguish em you don't really halt the push don't you.
Blue on the other hand takes three extinguisher blasts, don't bother wasting your water on these.
B18 GL can launch into X corners of the screen, regular UGLs can only launch in a + edges from the center of the screen.
You can spin around while being buckled into a bed/roller bed/stretcher, just use ctrl+arrow keys.
Table parts and rack parts are worth hell a lot of metal if you get them into an autolathe instead of dismantling them on the spot, collect em and bring them to the hangar lathe.
MTs can dismantle an autolathe and rebuild them, they have two autolathes on lower engineering, try to put one on the LZ.
Autodoc on auto mode sucks, period.
Press F4 to do me emotes.
You can rest while being inside a resin nest, you can still break free, when you break free you'll still look horizontal but your sprite will be slightly off centre.
If you're a drone you can just feed all your plasma into a hivelord, they can build shit better than you could anyway.
If you're a xeno that can fit into a vent, you can climb into disposals to go somewhere (along with the trash).
If you're a medic you can take a regular USCM satchel, turn off your MedHUD, keep your gun in suit storage, and you'll look exactly like a PFC.
Always loot the Big Red leather satchels for fashion points.
Meson Scanners look cool in your face if you turn them on, at the cost of your vision.
If you're bored you can always go around and copy paste splints into nanomeds, they could always use more than the one set they start with.
If it's a wall, buckshot it, don't C4 it.
Do you hate benos? Do you just want to secure a place? Dismantle walls into girders (use buckshot if you need it quick) and build walls, they only cost three metal if you re-use girders.
Shift clicking tiles around you while in pain crit makes you face said tile, use this to spin around.
Using a wrench on a shower makes it freeze you.
ODing on Tramadol before briefing can get you to vomit at briefing, and toxin damage.
Drinking tea cures toxin damage, slowly.
Hot coco warms you up, take one after you took your ice cold shower.
Coffee sucks.
Medibots are lame as hell, they do work though.
Cleanbots even more so.
All food except for tofu contains 10u of nutrition, stop being picky.
Hacking vendors is easy.
So is hacking doors.
APCs are hackable if your ID doesn't have access.
Go away.

Cold ones just contain nutriment.

The Emergency Closets (the blue closets in Almayer) contain Emergency Toolboxes - those have everything you need during the endgame - crowbar, flashlight, station bouncer radio, and even a small extinguisher. Use them!

Thread is too long so I might say stuff that has already been said.

Chemistry:
The more chems you put the longer the effect last BUT.
Two chems with the same effect will ADD EFFECT power to each other. (Which is why keloderm is great).
Chems have different metabolizing speed. It's not written on wiki as it is different on every server. (Example: Oxyco might be stronger than trama, in same doses, it will be weaker than paracetamol+tramadol, as both chems cumulated effects is narrowly as strong as oxyco, but lasts 3 time longer. Basically, 1.5x time longer as a mix)
Also, OD limit applies per chem, not by total chem, which mean you can have 10x15u of chems, you won't OD. Therefor mixing chems with lower effects but longer metabolizing speed allows longer and often more powerful mix with higher doses while avoiding OD.

Do your tests.

Combat:
PB and melee cooldown isn't the same. Which means you can melee almost instantly after a PB. (Inb4 gyro buck machetez)
Purposedly walking slow at the opposite of a xeno works VERY WELL. Therefor baiting into a minefield is easy and almost a guarantee kill.
Machete now deals as much as a drill hit. A lot.
You can table aliens (runners, most likely) into a 5 second stun. Easy kills if you use a window/table on the same axis.
Flamethrower uses the bulletpath. Check Wooki's Guide.

Engineering:
Hacking airlocks are under estimated!
A shocked AND powered airlock will stun for 5 to 10 seconds anything trying to use. As an engineer, use your gloves to interact harmlessely and bait a nerd into a stun.
ID airlocks hacked into no timer can be used as a trap for aliens that WILL have to pry it open a second time, directly after it shuts behind.

And I'll stop there before this post turns into a guide but jeez I cba doing one.

Pulse rifle with a click macro on single fire can fire faster then a pulse rifle on burst mode.

bro, i know so much shit about SS13 mechanics in CM that i can barely list them all. I dedicate most of my research rounds to discovering new stuff.

im not gonna list everything, but here are two:

- The MMI in LV-624 map works. Just make sure you use a DEAD guy to put the brain in it. Or else.... (insert 7 day ban appeal here)

-I am NOT sure if this works in CM (i will test sometime), but if you trigger a explosive while inside a sleeper, you will blow everything around it, then pop out completely unharmed.
I play Sydney 'Lilly' Wood, the totally not depressed doctor, And the marine Dylan Bell, that probably joined the USCM by accident.

Feel free to PM me if you have any questions related to research.

Water slows down Crusher charges. So the best place to fight xenos on LV is to stand in the river.

how do you remove brains from someone? do you need to find a gibbed guy?

Fancy gaming mouse with an autoclicker. when you click 60 times per second, you'll fire at the theoretical fastest speed.

You can hold both normal knives and throwing knives on your mask slot as if you are just carrying it with your teeth, not sure if it's a secret but I just found out about it recently.

Also, long flipped over tables make a good hidding spot to lay behind of incase your position got overrun with no escape or you simply need to hide like a coward fearing for your own life.
Did you ever hear the tragedy of Elder Empress The Wise? I thought not. It's not a story the Marines would tell you. It's a Xeno legend. Elder Empress was an old queen of the xenomorph, so powerful and so wise she could use the plasma to influence all aliens to create life… She had such a knowledge of the xeno side that she could even keep the ones she cared about from dying. The xenomorph side of the world is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural. She became so powerful… the only thing she was afraid of was losing her power, which eventually, of course, she did. Unfortunately, she taught her daughters everything she knew, then her daughters bodyblocked her in her retreat. Ironic. She could save others from death, but not herself.

You realize there are click cooldown on SS13? Different types that can mix up cooldowns of smaller or bigger cooldowns?
Your macro is useless. Though, you -maybe- could find out M41A cooldown in single fire (rate of fire) to then macro it. Therefor you'd have full RoF without human neglecting reaction time and yes I craft words.

Refilling auto-injectors in NanoMeds. Anywhere on the map. See how Alamo just landed at the LZ while you were there restocking on ammo? Refill your auto-injectors. See that the APC is up in planetside Medbay? Refill your auto-injectors.

Well, we used to be capable of removing organs via surgery, but the surgery procedure is gone, and no one bothered to make a gitlab report about it (no one was notified it was removed apparently).

And uh, C4 directly gibs you, no matter what.. so, yeah.

I think they removed the guaranteed gibs because some marines used go gib Queens.

As a carrier, you can do your part on FOB assaults by throwing huggers behind cades. They pass through cades and are mostly blocked by the cade sprite, plus the marines have a hard time shooting them away if there's little space. If you're lucky, one of the little bastards will disable a marine

Throw them right after a boiler gasses the cades and by the time marines rush in the hugger should be ready to pounce.

Tricord sippy cups are amazing - start of the round, grab a flask, go and ask medbay nicely to fill it with tricord. Whenever you take minor damage, take one sip and you will be up and at full health in no time.
