Can't speak as a delta regular, but I tend to Defib you a lot, which means you're doing a lot of fighting. So keep up the good work! Seems like you fit in with delta but what do I know?

I'll be honest, I initially just picked Delta back when because A. Blue's the best color and B. They often got scouting missions and such. Stuck with it since then because I have nowhere else to go. Other than I guess to another squad, but eh. At least I've seen a lot of Delta's high points...and some of the lows admittedly.

I won't say that Delta right now is probably at the highest point that it's ever been, but I don't think it's such a train-wreck that I feel obligated to switch out, either, but that might be a sign more of my indifference than anything else.

((Funnily enough, this is the second game in which I've joined a Delta squad at its rise and got to live through its fall)

Also, I'm probably part of the "decline" of delta, but I like it, because it's blue and rarely gets FOB duty.

I won't claim to speak for every charlie out there, but rejecting people for elitist reasons? For not being good enough? For being a baldie? For not being an old-timer?

I've seen people wary of delta mains, that much is true. Mostly because they are the only squad we get people from who openly say they wanted to be in delta, hate charlie (or bravo, or alpha) and don't give a fuck about the squad. Those often ditch the squad even with limited roles (often silently), or openly state they'll give delta priority over their squad mates. Funny enough I don't remember seeing an alpha or bravo with that kind of attitude. Nor, when I play in delta, seen the reverse happening, really.

Yeah, took me a while to get around to making a forum account. I read through them, but I didn't see much need to pitch in until pretty recently. Granted, suppose I still don't feel the need to, but it's nice to have the option.

Delta usually gathered/gathers more vets/robustos than any other squad, allowing for more impact on the battlefield. That's it, it's just math.

I encountered some promising new players, and including a new(?) SL Main (Chance Warden ? Saw him ? I like him, he is fresh, and he is cool).
I have nothing against new players, as long as they talk and want to learn. For the silent randomfuckfaces, I'll just use them as human shields or force multipliers, no more, no less.

Any play that wanna create a bond with me and I will do my best to cover him, move with him, push with him and RP with him.
Happened with a lot of non-deltas that actually talks, do some good RP and are decent marines instead of being dipshits.

Delta is fine. It's just that we have huge numbers now, so even the proportion of vets is reduced compared to the huge amount of boots we got.
Also, most of the boots we got are not reading the forums, so nothing you write over here will make them wonder about them being bald as fuck.

Do not forget one thing : "There is no bad soldiers, only bad leaders." A bad soldier doesn't exist if you can use it in a proper way, like meatshield or as scarecrows while your vets/decent marines do the effective killing.

I'm not sure what this is an answer to. There is a squad poll around the forum that basically shows the amount of regulars in each squad. Ordered by higher to lower it goes Delta, Charlie, Bravo, Alpha. No surprises here, also matching the general robustness level. Besides that the squads attract different player profiles. Deltas has the most ungas (and the vast majority of the predator applicants), Charlie has a very large amount of medbay mains, and Bravo has most of the people who enjoy FOB, including builder engies.

I have encountered this new player you speak of a long time ago. My char even had a different (but similar) name then:

Which kind of reinforces my idea that you don't tend to value much non-Deltas and newbies. Of course Chance is good (though not a new player). Not merely because he's a good leader, also because he's a good person. Or has been every time I've had the pleasure of seeing them around. I've recently joined as Delta because he was the SL, in fact (maybe the round you noticed him?). He knows very well how to turn a bunch of newbies into a very lethal force, has done it plenty, that medal not being an isolated incident.

At very most you will manage to get a slight efficient momentum that WILL be broken by any xeno main or decent xeno.
