There’s realistically three ways to win right now as a Marine.

One is exciting - strongly dependent on bad Boilers on the Xeno side...

The other two are more organized and depend on the CO knowing each squads strength and gauging the battlefield well... and waiting on bioscans.

Yeah if the boilers are bad you don't get stuck in '3 tile wide hallway simulator' mode. You can actually play the game/get aggressive as marines.

It’s honestly really well appreciated when a CO asks ya if you would like to take charge in one or more aspects of an operation, seeing as it helps you figure out what works and what doesn’t when it comes to leading an OP. And if you miss up somewhere along the line, you have a higherup to tell you what you did wrong, and how to improve.

I have a habit of ungaing when things start going bad. The diffrence even a single extra smartgun can make planetside is not to be underestimated. I would hope people like me.

There are so many gimmick COs now that they're all just kind of bland.
Also, due to the large amount of gimmick COs, the "I was just pretending to be retarded" defense aka the "I was just RPing as a bad commander" is now common and often accepted.
