Xenos never used to need any skill to play. Nearly every class was MMB to win. Now with the changes, xenos players need to use some modicum of skill to win a fight, unless it's lowpop lurker murdergangs.

It's almost like they're in the same position marines have been for years, hm.

I think that at the moment, the Xenos and marines are pretty equally matched. I'm seeing a lot of good fights recently, and some REAL close ones at that. DOREC made the marines curb-stomp, but when explosive resistance was added to Xenos, it balanced out greatly.

Benos need (on top of any buffs or whatnot they might need) more character. Let's face it. Both sides have proven they can kick metric fuck tons of ass with or without the hard statistical numbers to back it up. It's the veterans that win rounds, it's the skilled individuals. Benos have next to no regular vets that play ad much as marine mains do. So like, how do we get more people to play beno? Fuck if I know but having character and not being the faceless swarm our great apapa above first envisioned would probably go a long way.

Or maybe they should fix the part of the gameplay that matters, aka playing as the xeno, and make it better instead of adding superficial elements like "personality" that don't apply to xenos in the first place.

Like it or not, every xeno has a personality, the player reflects that through them.

Some are stoic and insanely obedient, others are shitty memsters that laugh at everything, even themselves.

There should be a way to reflect, because hives aren't uniform, and it can be hard to remember a certain player during the round since it's all numbers.

Simple names should be allowed IMO, just for the sake of communication, or at least having a consistent character.

When I say personality I mean that in the vaguest way humanly possible. It could be literally anything from names like you said or pink pokadot spots. Whatever the devs and players who play ornwoulf play xenos are cool with. I don't play xeno and never will, so I only care about how it'll effect marines, and I feel building a greater sense of community for the hive would give the marines a better fight.

How about having an option to display your OOC name in Hive Status? You could show yourself to be a reliable xeno by playing with your OOC name, or just hide it in case you're not sure of your abilities yet. Queen's name already gets revealed at the end, so bad xenos getting laughed at is hardly a problem. Of course, the metabuddy thing needs to be addressed somehow, and I don't have ideas for that quite yet.

If somebody knows someone who works in FOX, he could just say to him to send an E-Mail here that (For example) "Faceless Drones", as our xenos are, is a big part in Alien universe and this makes us too similar.

Day one, day two and day three in changelog: "Xenos are no longer faceless" so xenomains *roar and "REEEEEE!".

literally just have an option in the character setup screen to toggle showing your name on/off, and a field directly below it that allows a short combo of words/letters to use as a name.
