Ah, allright.

So, I got bored and read the rulebook. Yeah. Pretty much all of it.
We were doing combat wrong.

First off, you can actually AIM! How about that? Half action to get a +10, Full for a +20. Works with melee weapons because reasons and you have to attack as your next action or it goes away.

Second, you can't attack twice in the same turn unless you have a talent that says otherwise, like Furious Assault.

Third, dodge is really REALLY strong, max that shit fast and you're a DEMON in combat. No opposed check, you roll AFTER the enemy rolls to hit and if you pass, you dodge.

Oh and if you parry with a power weapon or someone tries to parry a power weapon with a non-power weapon, you have a 75% chance to break their weapon. Parry's hella stronk but doesn't work against ranged.

So basically we're doing everything wrong.

Hey did you know that when we fought the dreadnought he could not have attacked JOHN CENA!!!!!!!! twice in one turn, he also would have had to take a full turn to unjam a gun and the multi-melta would have not jammed, just burned the shit out of him. I probably could have fluffed it as the way I jammed them was by pissing off the machine spirits, but still.

Also engaging him in Melee would have meant he could not have used the Multi Melta without either missing horribly or hurting himself.

Huh... This is a thing. Cool. I personally kinda prefer Only War but whatever. Suppose you could ask a book-reading, /tg/-browsing grognard like me about lore or rules or stuff. Also, word from the wise, use Roll20/Maptools and Skype for games if you aren't already, voice for combat if possible, and compile your character sheets into a spreadsheet, makes it way goddamn easier.

Don't have the rulebook or DH game link or I'd jump in. Probably die really fast but would try to make it totally worth it.

Anyway, So I don't have to vouch for "available/unavailable", I will post my schedule. My time zone is 8 hours behind yours in Greenwich. If its during a time not specified as unavailable, consider me in BC and if I get a link and rules, DH.

10PM-6AM: Unavailable, all days.
Monday: Unavailable 8AM-11AM at minimum, 2:30PM to 3:45PM
Tuesday: Unavailable 4PM-6PM
Wednesday: Unavailable 8AM-11AM at minimum, 2:30PM to 3:45PM
Thursday: Unavailable 9AM-11:45AM, 4PM-6PM, 7PM-9:45PM

Most of these don't matter because they're in the middle of the night in Greenwich.
Oh, not available for the 4th to the 7th of September.

Again, if its in a time that isn't unavailable, I'll almost certainly be there for the game.
